Ok... for the fan meeting before the show at the Hard Rock Cafe... how does 5-5:30pm sound? I'm just throwing a time out there... 'cause I have no idea what time any of you will be arriving... and we have like 12 days!! Crazy. I can't believe Céline is coming to Indiana!

Chicago is cancelled... is anyone else nervous about the Indy show? I mean, Celine's health is definitely more important, but if she can't perform that means that she still is sick. I hope she feels well soon!

I'm nervous, but I'm hoping for the best. It's really out of our hands -- and I would rather her postpone and perform when she feels better, rather than her struggling through a show, damaging her voice, or cutting songs out.

Oh, I fully agree! I'm not trying to be selfish about it at all. If she doesn't feel like doing the show she shouldn't have to. No pressure on her. I just want her to focus on getting better... for herself, for Rene, and for Rene Charles, not the fans. At least not as much for the fans. I don't want her to feel bad because she thinks she let us down. If she's sick there's nothing she can do about it. I won't be upset at all.

I just found out I'm going to be able to attend the Indy concert! At the very last minute, I got cast in a holiday show in Indianapolis and I just arrived here in Indy yesterday. One of my friends here is a "techie" and he knows another techie who works at the Conseco Fieldhouse who can get tickets to any event for $10!!!!!!! So I snapped up 2 tickets immediately. I have no idea where the seats will be and they will probably be nosebleed seats BUT I've already seen the tour in NYC from the 12th row on the floor so I don't realy care. I'm just excited that I get to see it one more time especially since it seems as if she will be taking another break to try for a baby after the tour ends.

 

Now I just hope her health is good enough for her to perform that night. One - because I'm selfish and Two - I just hope she gets to feeling better!

Well, I bought two overpriced tickets and my niece and I are going to see Céline in Indianapolis!!! I have tickets for the Chicago show that was postponed to 12-16-08 and I couldn't wait, so I bought the tickets for the Indy show and I am sooooo glad I did!!! We are sitting in Section 17 right by the catwalk. Since I live in Northern Indiana and am from Indianapolis, it will be so awesome to hear Céline say, "Indiana"!!!!!!

Well, I leave in a few hours... after running around here like a crazy person because I waited until the last minute. I suppose I can blame some of it on being sick last week though! It's hard to believe that Indianapolis is already here... finally I will see Céline perform at my home. It's sad to know this will probably be the last time I see her for a while, at least for this tour -- but I'm going to try to take in every moment!

 

I'm not sure if I'll have internet access at my hotel or not... so if anyone needs to contact me, give me a call! See all of you soon!

Sunday's Celine Dion concert rescheduled

A Celine Dion has rescheduled her concert scheduled for Sunday at Conseco Fieldhouse to Dec. 21.

 

AEG Live, promoter of Dion's Taking Chances World Tour, said the show scheduled was postponed while the performer recovers from a recurrent naso-pharyngeal infection that was complicated by inflamed vocal cords.

 

Dion's physician has instructed her to refrain from singing to completely recover, according to the statement released by AEG Live. Earlier this week, Dion canceled shows in Chicago and Minneapolis.

 

AEG Live stated that tickets sold for the show scheduled for Sunday will be honored Dec. 21. Fans unable to attend the rescheduled concert can obtain a refund.

It's too bad but I have to say I'm not shocked about this news. Looking at those vids from Ottawa I thought this great light Céline's eye usually caries wasn't back unfortunately. I hoped I was wrong but I guess she has not completly recovered if they postponed. We all know how much she hates when it happens so...

 

I hope they postponed this show to prevent more damage to her health that wasn't back all the way apparently. Just hope it's not getting worse.

Dearest Céline, please take care! Of course, your health must be your number ONE priority.

Yeah I heard a few people say that while she performed well, she didn't seem 100% recovered last night and she seemed a little nervous about hitting some of the notes. So I'm not too surprised either, but sad for Celine and disappointed for you guys who have to wait longer now.

I'm guessing she must be getting somewhat better, since she performed yesterday...but maybe she pushed herself too hard, too soon.

I can't believe that I just read this...I thought this was a joke at first...but obviously not. It makes me very upset that this decision wasn't made sooner. I am only awake right now because I couldn't sleep so I decided to come on the forum. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known about the cancellation until I was ready to leave in the morning. I'm sorry that Celine is still sick, but she shouldn't have done the Ottawa show if she wasn't 100% yet. I know she hates to cancel, but she should have known sooner that she wouldn't be able to do the show. Who knows if Becca and I will get our hotel money back...and the timing is crappy of the rescheduled show December 21, 4 days before Christmas? And surprise surprise, celinedion.com STILL has yet to post this info. I just feel so bad for celinevegas who was coming all the way from france. Ahhhhhhh...I'm so aggravated....I just need to vent...I still love Celine of course and want her to rest her voice and get completely better...this was just such a shock!

Omg no offense to her, but decisions like this need to be made with a little more notice. Poor Steph, I feel so bad for her And poor Celine so much for having that nice break in between in the lead up to Christmas, now she has Mexico and these rescheduled shows. Perhaps on the bright side if it's on the 21st you may get a bit of a Christmas set?

You know I was thinking the same thing...I know that she would do a Christmas song for AND for the shows that were close to Christmas...so I'll be crossing my fingers!!! Celine won't get much time to enjoy her anniversary on the 17th Poor thing...she is totally being worked TOO hard!

We got about 6 hours notice when the Sydney shows were postponed, and I think Brisbane got even less than that...so you got more notice than us! It doesn't surprise me at all since we all know she has been sick. She was probably still hoping she would be able to do the show, and didn't want to postpone unless she absolutely had to, which would explain why it was only just announced.

When JP told us she's not 100% recovered and decide to do the Ottawa concert, I totally felt something like this would happen.

And surprise surprise, celinedion.com STILL has yet to post this info. I just feel so bad for celinevegas who was coming all the way from france.

They will post on Monday after the show is supposed to be over. I feel sorry to him and others who have to travel to see the concert.

I know. That's why she moved Minneapolis to February at first, cause she wants some Xmas vacation. Now she won't have much time for that.
