Eyes On Me!!!

 

Please don't let "Alone" be the second single or all the work they made for the new album will fade in a blink of an eye!!!

BOoo i hope its neither! Alone is a cover...so was taking chances people will think shes unoriginal for doing two covers as singles. Eyes on me is the song I like the least on the album. It sort of reminds me of Treat Her like a Lady because it seems like its trying too much to have a different sound. People will just make fun of it and it won't be played. I think the BEST option is probably Fade Away that definitely a song I can hear playing on the radio often...it has a kelly clarkson feel and thats what people like.

 

4million to be sold? I hate sony for settig low standards for this CD. I actually e-mailed them feedback saying that I was disappointed in their promotion for this album. Of course no response but its worth a shot. Personally I think with this CD they need to promo Celine like an entirely new singer because it is so different from her...then you would get the loyal fans plus some new audiences buying the CD. They should have done promo more than just the week before now Celine seems tired out from the promo tour and is lip synching EVERYTHING which is going to get her a bad rep. We may cut her some slack for all the playbacks but she is going to get torn apart if she kips miming every song she sings. Its breaking my heart! This CD should be all over the friggen news its amazing

I played Eyes on Me, Shadow of Love, and Fade Away for a casual listener who doesn't own any Celine albums and Eyes on Me was his favorite. He played it over and over again, but said the vocals on Fade Away gave him chills! I'm not on board for Alone, it just doesnt make sense in any way shape or form! Besides releasing such a well known song, why release two covers in a row for singles, it's just ridiculous!

DELTA Goodrem could be laughing all the way to the bank after superstar Celine Dion picked up a Goodrem song for her album.

 

The single, titled Writing Eyes on Me, was expected to be the second track on the album, Goodrem told Confidential.

 

She wrote the song about boyfriend Brian McFadden, but didn't feel it was appropriate for her new album.

 

Dion's decision will give Goodrem worldwide exposure.

 

Goodrem celebrated her 23rd birthday last week with a group of girlfriends in Sydney.

 

if Delta says it is EYES ON ME... so it seems like the writers know what would be the singles from the album better than other Sony employees (like Kara announced on her site that TC will be the 1st single)...

I would go for Fade Away or This Time. Alone is a cover, although a good track... And Eyes On Me Would get very negative reviews saying Celine is trying to be Shakira and to sell more. In other words is not that original and is quite cheap. Whereas Fade Away is does reminiscent of a Kelly Clarkson track but is a much more mature song than hers. My non-Celine fans would vote for that one. They were absolutely blown away by it.

Alone is a cover song, Taking Chances was a cover song... Celine would get very negative critics...

Eyes On Me - very good, interesting, but I think it's not a single worth, and everybody would say that Celine tries to copy Shakira to sell more albums...

I like Eyes on me very much but I don't know it's just too Shakira like for a Dion Single where as Alone would be a wonderful choice. It is more Celine typical and a powerful ballad which would probably sell well during the winter.

 

My favourite for a new Single would be Fade Away.

Exactly.....''Eyes On Me'' would be a great single around summer time, and I said this to Sony....

But then again nothing is final yet, and they may choose something totally different as the 2nd single, so lets not jump the gun just yet.

 

I also asked if we could somehow help choose the 2nd single from the album on the www.celinetakingchances.com website

through some kind of poll or something, so waiting to hear back about that.

 

I don't think we'll see a 2nd single though till late January or early February.

 

I'm just hoping that the next single will be released in the shops and online to download but, they need to advertise the next single a week before its released on tv and radio....

As for Christmas time, the best single would be "World to believe in", in my opinion.

I forgot... Sony should release Fade Away to AC, HAC and POP stations, but also release Right Next To The Right One to country radios!! I'm really starting to like that song. Very low key and interesting (for country radios which I'm usually not a big fan of). But this track has something special...

If I have to choose from the two mentioned it would have to be Eyes on Me. I DON'T want to see Alone as a single.

However my top three for singles would be Shadow of Love, Fade Away and This Time.
