Didn't see it posted anywhere, so if it's the 1st time.. I just read this at Canoe website:

 

Vito Luprano, vice-president of Sony BMG Canada, in an interview with the French-Canadian newspapers Journal de Montreal declared that SONY BMG expects to sell from 4 to 6 million copies of Celine's new album in English: Taking Chances. "This is the biggest launch of the year for a SonyBmg album" said Luprano, adding that they didn't choose the second single from the album yet. They hesitate on Eyes on Me and Alone, the final decision will come in next days.

I think that if they choose one of them to be 2nd single, there are big chances that the other one will be 3rd. I'm not that thrilled about this idea. We will see...

i guess eyes on me would be better for europe and Alone for US. but in both ways, they will criticize her for copying shakira or for doing another cover.

 

but she is singing Alone everywhere... on Oprah & in UK.... it seems to be Alone

Listen guys the biggest selling album of the year so far has only sold 5 million copies (lincoln Park) - This is normal for big albums these days. The most an album has gone on to sell in recent year is around 8 million (Madonna and Justin) over nearly a two year period. 6 Million would make it a massive seller. Sadly albums just dont sell 20 + million now

it would be better eyes on me..that's sure!!!but,in my opinion,they should choose something peculiar,a song that underlines céline's style..eyes on me is one of my favourite(I really adore that song)but some people could say that,with this song,céline wants to imitate shakira..surprise surprise or fade away would be perfect;they are wondeful songs,they underline céline's innovation but ,at the same time,céline's class and style and,with these songs,they can't find a parallel in the world of music(I want to say that people can't compare céline with other singers as in the case of eyes on me)

I can't believe This Time isn't even an option! What idiots! That song would touch a lot of people, Celine even said it herself, and it's totally wasted. I can't believe Alone is an option. EOM I guess would be the next best thing.

Nothing? By today's standard's that a lot. People don't sell 20 or 30 million copies like they used to because everyone downloads music now. 4-6 million is considered a major hit in today's day in age.

I am really dissapointed Eyes On me nor Alone should be the next single i would rather take Shadow Of Love or A World To Believe In as TC second single.

 

Alone is already a number#1 hit by heart in 1987.

Eyes On Me is a belly bunching track like Shakira would do but it is a ok song but i don´t think it will be a massive hit Celine needs more R&B feeling to it.
