the miseries of celine fans in Iran

In my damned country foriegn music is banned,you can never find original CD's or DVD's here.finding them is so so hard.and even finding copies is so hard esp celine doesn't have so much fans here.and if we want to purchase a DVD or CD cos we don't have access to international credit cards here we can't buy them online. and if we can buy them and we want to get them buy post cos all sent things from another country is checked they will not post it to us because music dvd's are banned. oh my god.i only could find ACDS cd not the dvd ,all the way special and half of live in memphis here and mahyar a member of this forum found divas and all the way and a copy of a new day has come which is not complete.also finding the, was so hard . aaround one month ago i found the cover of live a paris dvd i get so delighted and ask the sales man if he has it or no.he said hs friend has it.and after one month he brought me a copy of au coeur du stade in poorest quality is possible. :cry: :angry:

here is exactly like that country you lived.

in iran women can't sing and because of it selling cd's or dvd's of female singers is anned here.we can find them in some stores in hard way.

and also many scenes of foriegn movies is ommited.there is no differance betwen ages ,it's like everyone should watch 'G' rated things it's funny.

many sites is also banned here like youtube,paypal or even imageshak and i can only reach them by anti filters.

i am thinking about it.but you know the most thing that i want is a change here.i don't know how long those it take for them to understand they can't ban these things cos people will find ways to get them.like these things couldn't prevent me from listenig ,finding and loveing celine . thank god i don't live in countries like saudi arabia where women ca't drive or go to universities.i would kill myself if i had to live in such countries

i don't think it is banned ,i think we can't get them because of world limitation about iran.for example amazon don't deliver books to iran.there are iranuan companies that only deliver books.and they get the delivery cost which gets so much.but as i told it is possible only for books not cds or dvds

Censorship is also very common in China. Foreign companies cannot release CDs or DVDs directly. They must find a local publishing house as a "partner", and then sell out their copyrights -- all products have to be manufactured and distributed by the CCP controlled domestic companies, which means the quality of the products are usually low. And of course our great bureaucracy will always censor all import works. The results are: some tracks in the album, even the hit singles, are missing (deleted deliberately); nearly all albums have to be released far beyond the official release date of other districts. Lots of recordings have little chance to be distributed at all, for example, Eminem and Marilyn Manson's CDs. However, thanks to Internet and pirate CDs, we can easily find their music. It's illegal, yes, but we have no choice.

 

The good news is, Celine will come to Beijing and Shanghai in 2008, and I will go and see her for sure.

i don't call it a dvd . celine dvd's are not available here at all. only you can find a few with a bad quality. i don't call it a dvd .

only britney spears or jennifer lopez dvd copies are available here cos they are more popular here. and celine is not.

i don't want a copy with a crap quality.i don't want cpies from celine dvd's. iwant originals if you want them you can buy them i don't want it.i wil pay the money for original dvds like i paid for celine perfume when it came to iran.and also another thing is that music DVD's are not $1 here ,movies are $1.and we buy them cos we can not find originals.if we don't buy them we can't find anything else.it is an obligation sir but the good news is my brother will have a trip to dubai and he will buy A new day dvd for me if he can find it there

And your country (russian) is not doing better than ours ,sir ! lots of hackers and crackers . most of the sofwares and games will be hacked in your country and then they will find their way to people's home .

We actually are quite lucky to be living in countries that have an independant media and limited to (in the case of South Africa) no censorship for the media you purchase. We complain so much about the fact that Celine is poorly marketed yet we all have so easy access to her material. Maybe we should be grateful that we have access to her stuff and remember that people living under dictatorships and in countries with heavy controls can't walk into a store and get a cd the way we can.

 

I'm truly sorry about the whole situation in Iran. It truly is a shame that the governmen takes such a hard line on western culture. If I were you I would get out. People wait their entire lives for change. My grandfather waited his whole life for change here in S.A when he could easily have moved to Europe and he died before we achieved freedom, democracy and civil liberties
