I know, but we've seen the tactics that Sony has a tendency to pull. It wouldn't surprise me if this song ends up on her next English album or perhaps The Collector's Series. I just wish we could have a Celine album with absolutely NO covers...period.

 

Great song, but another cover? :sigh: I guess I'm in the minority on this one for not getting excited. She may as well just release a covers album and get it over and done with. There's enough material in her catalogue to make it a full disc.

There still seems to be some question whether she actually recorded it or not but if she did I am so excited to hear it. Tina Turner is my all time favourite artist. It's actually funny reading about the Oprah Show with Celine and how some die hards got invited. Well, I got invited to see Tina on Oprah in 2005. Incredible. No one could ever come close to Tina's version of The Best but Celine can sing anything, and I really want to hear her do this one.

She wore a short, gold dress with gold high-heeled shoes for Simply The Best and then changed into black jeans and a white sparkly top for the other songs. All performances were playback. I really don't get it!! Celine is promoting her new album in Europe and out of 3 songs, she sings her latest single, an old French single and a Tina Turner's song!! What the hell is going on? Why wouldn't she sing another English song from Taking Chances (and save herself a recording studio session) and a new French song????????
