I think it's the single worst track of the album along with "song 4 u"--- let's face it, these are the CHEAP songs in the album, these people who make the song are the one that will accept celines and renes demands of giving away the right to their own songs... do you think lilnda perry is giving away rights? you think ne-yo is? or maybe ben moody? perhaps tricky, or even maybe Kara Dioguardi? I think the only reason the euro guys are there is bc they are buy-able!!!!! let their "creations" die as album fill outs... Quote

Seriously, this was the song that when I listened to the whole album that stuck out to me as a single. It is something that could actually hit the charts all around. I know everyone has a problem with the Shakira-esque quality of it, but I think the best thing for an artist sometimes is to have that re-invented sound. And of course I'm partial, because this is my favorite song of the album... It's my new getting ready to go out song. It just makes you want to move, makes you want to dance. And really Celine isn't known for this kind of song and it would be great to see her push this song out there. To show everyone that isn't a Celine fan that there is more than just the "titanic song." Hope this becomes a single... because I can totally see myself dancing to this one at the clubs!!! About this song being "reject" from Delta's new album... I love Delta and her voice and actually I when I read she wrote a song for Céline, I expected a piano track, a track kinda like "A song for you" or "My love", hehe! In my opinion it just can be that this song didn't suit Delta's new album form and that's why it was rejected - so nothing bad in it, it doesn't mean that this song was "too bad" for Delta. Like "That's the woman in me" or "Would I know" (and for sure many other songs we may never hear) didn't make it to several previous albums of Céline... I would like to see other songs as singles though, "Fade Away" in the first line! EDIT: The background vocals are by Delta and Kristian - I also recognized Delta's voice there! Love Delta, I would also love to hear her doing a real duet with Céline! Well, to each his own, however the album Taking Chances finally has some 'up-tempo' numbers that don't actually suck. She's finally able to get a few pop-ish number under her belt that don't ooze love or feel like an awful remix of an otherwise nice ballad. There's a few numbers that speak to today's audience with the same upbeat, pop-sensibility that "That's The Way It Is" delivered. Gone are the days where we have to wait for tacky remixes to fill our desire for something with a beat. I mean, c'mon, who wants a remix of MHWGO or IACBTMN. LOL Quote

(sorry celine...). sure EOM isn't her worst song, but that music isn't my cup of tea. when the album leaked, i thought this is the Ne-Yo produced song (thank god IGNL is one of my favorite song from TC). i tried to like this song but i failed. but to be honest, i love the title and the lyrics isn't that bad. Lymon Posted April 22, 2008 at 01:31 PM Posted April 22, 2008 at 01:31 PM Not only is this song the best song on Taking Chances, but it's also one of the best upbeat songs Celine has *ever* recorded. When I first got my Taking Chances CD, I couldn't listen to the rest of the CD for a week because I kept playing Eyes On Me over and over. It's so incredibly young and it's like a breath of fresh air. Celine sings it wonderfully, and this song is just destined to become a huge Top 10 hit. It could've been a huge hit in England with a proper music video, but Sony basically just released it there and totally forgot about it. If they could just make a hip music video(I posted an idea for an EOM music video a while back), and released it worldwide, it'd do well. Celine could go on a few talk shows, maybe. I know she's busy with the tour, but she can do a couple of short 5-10 minute interviews on some talk shows in Europe/North America. If that could be done, Eyes On Me could be an amazing success. It deserves to be the next single, because it could truly show the world that Celine does more than big love ballads(Fade Away could do this, too). Sorry if I rambled on a bit.
