Yup, the new Celine we're about to discover. She looks good on a TV screen. Is that a talent? No it isn't. Three words to describe this performance: Fake. Empty. Boring

She did look amazing - what I would give for those legs! I am dissapointed that she mimed - pretty bady to be honest esp on Alone. I don't understand why you would choose to mime when you have the best voice in the world! Unless there was a reason behind it

 

 

This miming/lipping talk is getting old and ridiculous. We all know why she lipped, and if you forgot, take a look at the video of her performing TC live. We all know she wasn't at her best. If you were her, and your voice didn't sound great, and you didn't feel comfortable singing live because you know you'd mess up in front of millions of people, what would you do? Look at how much more comfortable she looked when she performed TC at Star Academy, moving around, dancing and having a great time. That's the Celine we like to see! I'd rather her lip and at least put on a great performance and have fun and have the song sound as it should, than for her to sing live and have it sound the way it did last week. After seeing that performance, I don't think any of us should criticize her lipping again, because now we all know for sure that it isn't because she's LAZY, it's because she EXHAUSTED and probably not feeling well. Give this woman a break!

And also I had quite a few friends watching cos I had been going on how they have to watch it, you know so they could see how good she was and then she goes and mimes! But yeah like I said that was my imediate after thought and after watching it again it wasn't that bad!

just watched the show again as its on itv2 2nite... i have decided that she was singing over the prerecorded cd or something as throughout the performance there is times when she sounds slightly diff from the cd version.. i still think it was amazin performance in overall as she looked fab and i dont think to many of the tv viewers would notice that she wasnt singing live. We all understand why she did it and we all know she can sing and can sing her new songs have seen them live on the recording of the cd on youtube. so i think we should just leave it at that and hope she gets better soon and is back to the celine we all love to love.

Maybe u shouldn't have told ur friends she was lipping. LOL Maybe they wouldn't have even known! Most people that aren't die hard fans don't even know because when she sings live on a good day, she sounds just like the studio version (and people think she is lipping anyway, but WE know the difference!)

A review from a 10 year old

 

So I just let my niece watch the Taking Chances performance, as she really likes the song (thats good considering the fact she is into the current stuff out there...she was singing Taking Chances one day at school) haha...I saw her because I work there.

 

Anyways, she said she thought she looked pretty but she kept asking why she was acting like she was playing a guitar.

 

Also she pointed out something interesting...in the background on one of the signs it says "rip off" ...interesting LOL. I am glad she brought that to my attention. Did anyone else notice?

Saturday night Divas was the night i instantly became a big Celine fan. thank god for this show lol.

it was not long after her taking chances album was released or just before & she performs "Alone" & "Taking Chancea"

she looked amazing that night
