celine was FANTASTIC!

i loved the part where she was with jimmy kimmel :sofunny:

her performance was great

she actually hit that one really HIGH note :clap:

she had a band which was great

and she was lookin HOT

Just finished watching it from the Westcoast here, and I loved it! I actually couldn't really hear the background singers...maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but at least they didn't bother me at all...funny...they wouldn't have tuned the audio for the Westcoast viewers would they... Anyway, I am really curious what got Celine and Josh into a dance at the backstage, and the pic of her running from Josh is totally hularious! That's our silly Celine! :D

LOS ANGELES—Celine Dion is leaving Las Vegas next month. Next stop, the world.

 

The pop singer is ending her splashy "A New Day" show at Caesars Palace on Dec. 15 after a nearly five-year run.

 

But she's not taking a vacation. Dion cranks up a world tour beginning in February in South Africa that will run throughout 2008. She plans to start rehearsing a couple days after the Vegas show ends.

 

"After that, hopefully we go home a little bit and rest," she said backstage Sunday at the American Music Awards.

 

"I'm lucky as a performer to reach a big range of people. I don't take a close look at my schedule because it's quite hectic, but I'm not complaining."

 

Dion stopped chatting long enough to watch Chris Brown's performance on a backstage monitor. She hung on the microphone and swayed to the music as the R&B hotshot performed "Kiss, Kiss" with T-Pain.

 

"Oh my God!" Dion shrieked as Brown ended up in the rafters attached by cables while performing Michael Jackson-esque dance moves.

 

"It's amazing. He's the most brilliant dancer. I wonder if he comes up with his own choreography," she said.

 

Dion had admirers of her own among the other performers.

 

"I'm a closet Celine Dion fan," said Chris Daughtry, the former "American Idol" contestant who won three trophies.

God i love that performance!!

I was blow away by his dress, the hairs!! And when she start turning, was so hot!!

I'm really proud to be a Celine's fan :D :P

her first dress kind of reminds me of the little mermaid when arial puts that white cloth around her with the rope. lol i still love it though.

as for the nickname for the fans...we deffinitely deserve one. my mom came with me to the rainbow room when it was all teamceline members and nothing but and shes like "I though you were nuts...but...you're all nuts!" haha she was laughing because pretty much all of us were crying and she thought I was the only crazy one. I blame the craziness all on celine though!

but i think live it sounds like an acoustic version... i miss the rock feel to it...

 

that dress... almost the same she wore when performing: Simply The Best at Stars de l'annee... only different colour!! :D
