Yeah, this topic is getting kind of redundant here. And I must say that it is too early in the game to say that Taking Chances will flop. Try and remember that the best promotion of Celine Dion is done by us the fan who love and support what she does. Hell I tell all of my friends about Celine and her new album Taking Chance. I even tell people I don't even know about it as well. Hey I can't help it. I'm too excited to contain my joy for it to come out.

But that's very minimal. I already posted her on all my blog (multiply, myspace, friendster, etc). But those things are not enough to save the album Taking Chances. How many people can I reach? hundreds? maybe. thousand? possible. But there are billions of people in the world who are still unaware that Celine is back and releasing a new album Taking Chances until now. Yes this is repetitive. But try to ask your friend or your neighbor :

 

do you know that Britney is back with a new album? Of course!

do you know that Celine is back with a new album? No. Really?

D'elles was always going to be 2nd to Taking Chances this year. Moreover Taking Chances is not a lousy choice for a single, it's a superb song. The problem is Sony are doing literally NOTHING to support the promotion of the song. As usual Celine will have to do it all herself.

Yeah I know that Sony is spending more time promoting more of their newer artist. But come on! Celine is getting a late start in this. And I still say it is too early write Taking Chances off as a comeback failure. I do be leave in the snowball effect. That we will be the first ones to have then we tell other friends about the thing or show it to them, and then some of them may buy it from the stores or ask us to burn them a copy and etc. Let's see how this plays out before anyone jumps to any conclusions.
