Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 ok, so yah, on sunday, september 30, 2007, i watched the following MAKING OF type videos from the upcoming, id imagine, as there were even credits, TAKING CHANCES DOCUMENTARY, namely: ALONE (which is amazing)EYES ON ME (beyond amazing, really, kinda like a shakira take on REFUSE TO DANCE; it's an insane song)SONG FOR YOU (beyond stunning, and recorded LIVE, with some acclaimed pianist)THAT'S JUST THE WOMAN IN ME (look out janis joplin, really; celine has it so much it's sick (talent, that is)SURPRISE SURPRISE (not quite my favourite, but i suppose i will manage) * TAKING CHANCES has been on youtube for some time now anyway, the songs were removed the next day, on the premise of copyright infringement towards sony/bmg... this said, i was wondering if anyone had the chance to catch these scenes from the documentary, ranging in length from 4 to 10 minutes, with studio takes, as well as interviews from CELINE and the producers who all claim that CELINE is showing a different side of herself on this album, but a side that's always been present (and i also knew this all along, having so closely followed her career since her UNISON days)... in closing, i will say that what i heard was nothing short of MEZMERIZING, and i am anticipating grammy nominations and wins at this year's grammy awards... damn you, CELINE, im now dying to get my hands on this album! this is her best work to date, in english; vocally, id compare it to DION CHANTE PLAMONDON, so yah, i am thinking very highly of it! i'll quite whining, but i want some of your input, fellow fans! p.s. : from what i understood, CELINE actually proposed naming the album TAKING CHANCES, and i feel that she has given so much of her input on this album, yet, ironically, the producers, or at least certain ones, made her work really hard (e.g., kara and lundin). peace, love and celine dion to all, - ANewDay...
