Don't et me wrong I hope it's the new material, just BAFTA is a movie thing and if they are doing music from the movies, MHWGO is one of the most famous songs isn't?

Celine would be on Star Academy on Nov. 2nd. So I think she would in UK during the last week of Oct. In france during the first week of Nov. And in the US during the album launch week.

Aaahhh, it's coming so close!! we're going to get so much new material! Just the thought of her being so close instead of in Vegas is exciting :P

A friend of mine who attended the show told me that she just lipped MHWGO but it was great,she looked amazing and she got also a standing ovation. She performed the song after footage about movies in the 90's. :flowers:

I told you she won't perform Taking Chances

 

Though, I was wrong about "the new Celine we're about to discover" being the one who sings live. I really wonder if she - after five years of Colloseum pre-recorded track performances - actually remembers how to sing that one live ...

She has some vocal problems and decided to lip cuzz I don't see any reason her to do that than cold or vocal demure. Something must be wrong. I hope she is fine and gets some rest.

The only problem she has is that we're living in a time where artists get standing ovations for miming a song.

Something must be up with her vocals at the moment, this is just an unfortunate drawback to vocalists - you can tell when their voice is not up to form - but at least she's getting standing ovations.

 

I hope this boosts her confidence in the UK eye.

Well, at least we know she didn't build her career on miming her songs like so many other singers we won't mention here.... :giggle: I hope Celine is ok. Something seems odd since the xfactor performance... :unsure:

It's a very hectic schedule for her, it struck like a lightning. I prefer her to lip at this point, I know many will be disappointed here but what if this time it's really something serious and she chose to lip cuzz she wasn't able to sing live?

Dejvej, you know she will lip in Paris anyway... unless she will be performing on Taratata (which she won't) they will have her sing playback.

 

Today she got one day off. I hope it helps her but I'm not sure. The Audience With...show, Dejvej, is rather risky BUT as I said earlier she can repeat certain songs over and over again to be sure they sound good enough but then again if the voice won't be there she won't be able to do anything about it...she's not a magician.

It's a mad world. I can tell you already how people (even here on this forum) are going after her when she'll sing two or three notes out-of-tune live on An Audience With and bash her for that, while they'll give her ovations for a fake performance like this one

She's performing live every night in Vegas. You act like she's some 60-something year old Broadway singer/actress/movie director/Malibu home decorator who needs some kind of two year vocal rest to be able to perform live on a one hour TV show. I'm not bothered she mimed at all and MHWGO is probably the most famous movie song and therefore perfectly appropriate (whereas Taking Chances would have been a bit daft)- and (overplayed or not) MHWGO is a huge song in the UK. Her dress was slim and pink said Jane in the 'met her in London' thread. Excited!!!

 

And I also think she's just being careful with her voice- the last thing she wants to do is go completely tight with nerves if she knows it's not perfect at the mo. And we all know Celine is the best singer- live or with playback :clap:

I think she is just trying to rest her voice and not that something is up....because she was talking with us last night quite a bit and if there was something wrong I reckon she wouldnt talk.

Thank you, Bellamy! I don't care about how Celine sang it. The most important thing is that she was there and did a good performance. I'm quite sure that she did her best. :yes:

Now she's on the other side of the ocean, with a vastly different climate (and a different kind of cold). I really think she (her voice) hasn't adjusted/adapted properly (yet).

Live or not, its good to know that she is doing all that she can to promote herself all over again in the UK. I just hope that people become aware fo the fact that an amazing album is gonna be released, probably her best album, and that it needs to sell cos it deserves. i just hope that the sales of D'elles will also increase :unsure:
