ZoraSourit Posted September 21, 2007 at 05:52 PM Posted September 21, 2007 at 05:52 PM Don't get me wrong here... But I really hope he will only be the artistic director... I don't need to hear him sing (he's a fabulous writer, composer and producer.... but his singing is.... bad... *runs*) Quote http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y179/zorasourit/2.jpgAntwerp ~ Paris ~ Dublin ~ Amsterdam ~ Berlim ~ Milan ~ ArrasSome people need no slogans or presentations. Feidhlimbrennan Posted September 21, 2007 at 09:34 PM Posted September 21, 2007 at 09:34 PM i dont think we should worry aboutCéline doing the same old french language leg, she has already pointed out shes sick of singing the big english songs and im sure she probably feels the same way with her french music. there's a lot of material produced over the last few years that can be included which would be something new for her to perform, i mean if i had been singing the same songs every night for five years id rather retire than go on another one ear tour and sing them again. Even for the english leg there are so many preformable songs that we simply havent seen live yet, stretching as far back as 'ANHC' id love to see 'The greatest reward' or 'when the wrong one loves you right', and 'OH' songs like 'Faith,' 'In his touch' and 'Reveal' along side all the new 'Taking Chances' stuff. I'd also LOVE to see Ten Days performed live again, maybe Céline could perform 'Tomber' in the french leg, that would be very cool. If i was her though, i'd stay clear of including 'Miracle' shudders i really dont want to see that As for JJ i think that it probably is hard for Céline to let that connection go, I mean the man has done so much for her french language career, we only have to look at 'D'Eux' to see that. However Céline does have a history of not being able to let go of these people if you look at 'Eddy Marnay' and what he did for her early career and how hard it was to tell him that her team was moving in a different direction, she doesn't seem capable of recording a song without Humberto Gatica and if it wasn't for David Foster taking the job with Universal he probably would have been producing 'Taking Chances' (even though he did work his way into 'Miracle'!) So I think we have to embrace the fact that JJ will be around for a while longer yet!...he is great though so it's not all bad! I'd just love to see Céline take a leap with the french music that she has been able to take with 'Taking Chances' and her english career. Quote Instagram: @feidhlimb

firebird Posted September 22, 2007 at 08:53 AM Posted September 22, 2007 at 08:53 AM Like I said, their collaboration should go back to him writing and composing songs and her singing them. That's how we get the best from those d'eux, I mean: those two ) I really want to hear new arrangements and live instrumentations for her songs. I bet they'll be great live, especially from her recent albums like ANDHC or D'elles. Those songs can only sound better in a full live setting. Even if I still don't know why they need an artistic director. They have a music director (Mego), a tour director (which could be Suzan Gingue again with Celine always sticking to her people), a choreographer etc. So what's an artistic director going to do? Does Celine really need someone else to put together a set for her?! Quote
