Here we've had the singles for 2 weeks now and it started as 96 and now it's 71, as someone posted above. I'm actually doing all I can, requesting it on radio stations and etc, but it seems like noone is really listening to me...

she hinted she's a big fan of celine but has been disappointed with Celine since the Christmans special. She says that that's when the z100 requests stopped comming in. Elvis on Z100 doesn't like Celine and it is pretty obvious from what shelly hinted. I will boycott that station now. I'd rather listen to 1067 lite fm.

Must been the rockfeller tree lightning in New York where she lipped the songs, she got slamed for that on Z100. And if the Xmas rockfeller lightning lipsynch is their excuse then its pretty weak because Ashley Tisdale lipped as well and is still at 14 spins.

Yes it was the tree lighting but they all lip synced. Ya know, I listen to the morning show a lot and I love Elvis but he's good friends with Mariah so we know where his interests are and he initiated the slam against Celine and Skeery Jones went along and encouraged the audience to not like her song because of that. It's so sad too because the song was starting to get decent play on the station. I think someone here emailed Skeery Jones from the morning show about it and he sent this big long reply about how Celine calls her own shots and how she could've sang live - blah blah blah. It was crap, ya know that kinda attitude that he knows everything cause he's in the "biz".

 

We should all just slam them with requests, use every email addy you have using different names. Email the djs, esp Shelley Wade, text the morning show too. I've been voting every day but I'm also gonna start emailing Shelley Wade too.

 

GREAT IDEA! I've been trying to email Shelly Wade myself but not having any luck. She is our only chance because she LOVED Celine and the song. When u email, be sure to inform her and whoever else u email there that other singers that night lipped, and ALSO, a friend of mine went there (he belongs to the forum) and mentioned that she STARTED so sing live, then they stopped her, she made a comment how she hates when she has to sing without the mic (lip) then began to lip the song.

 

I was there at the taping Celine did and that is correct. She was singing and they told her to stop because it was messing something up. I do think they had planned to have her lip synch the whole time but she was singing live anyway, I guess they weren't gonna use her live audio. I just don't understand why they wouldn't let her sing LIVE to the pre-recorded music. All in all, it's not a big deal but Elvis on Z100 made a big deal of it cause he's mariah's boy - ewwwww.

 

Probably not that it matters at this point, but those that were there should email Shelly saying that, and requesting that she play the song more. I"m gonna see if the email works for me, and I'll keep ya posted.

 

I did email Shelley Wade on Monday, but I had to register for the ZVIP to do it. She didn't email back but I just requested the song and mentioned the interview she did with Celine. I think the song is down to 2 spins a week, so that is NOT good, but it did show #20 on their chart - go figure.
