yeahh maybe it's for the new DVD? tho i think the DVD is already ready and finished...who knows , maybe a last minute addition...

 

i'm certain she sang IACBTMN live for this event with david on stage with her :giggle:

Well, it's likely but it's not "certain". For all we know Celine recorded the whole playback track and they just cut out the bits they wanted for the show. :giggle: But I think the clips of the St. Justine special made it seem Celine is in really strong form so I think she could easily manage this song live once again.

I see the show saturday, Its not a new song; its just the regular one with David on piano... Nothing new, just great! And its not the full version of IACBTMN... just a short edit version with the final ( a bit longer... ). The song was recorded for a Telethon, a special by David.

I pray to God we'll get to see it soon! Or even at all! Was he a member of the audience and just came out of his seat, or did he come from backstage only to perform the songs and then leave?

 

I SERIOUSLY hope we will get to see it!

David Foster will be the music director for Andre Agassi annual Charity event in Las Vegas on Oct. 6th @ MGM. Celine has performed there live in the past but she will doing her own show that night. Maybe they were filming this to show at this event.

I was sitting by you...you were so much fun to be next too :)!!

 

Anyway, as for David Foster, he was supposed to be there on Aug.31 but he didn't show up or something like that...so he came on Sep. 1. He was doing a recording for some documentary about him or something like that. Celine told us that they were recording. Celine talked about him, saying some very nice things and they made some jokes...it was very cute. He played piano and she sang BYLM...it was very nice and they did cut out TLYM...but I was able to see the show again on Sep.2 so I wasn't too sad. And I don't think IACBTMN was part of the recording...she only told us about the recording that was going to happen when David came out.

As promised, here's the scoop: :whistling:

 

Last Saturday, there were posts everywhere by the entrance to the colosseum that there will be some video recording of some sort and that some of the audience might be part of the recording. The show started as usual, but Celine did not launch into BYLM right away. Instead, she came to the front of the stage and finished the entire length of IACBTMN! Then, she proceeded to tell the audience that she has a special guest that night; someone who she has known and been part of her singing career for the last 20 years. She told the audience that tonight they will be filming a special for David Foster and that we should all make last minute touch ups because we want to make sure we looked good on film! :giggle: She was in such playful mood and made couple of jokes about some latecomers not having enough seats. Anyway, she then introduced David Foster and they reminisced about the good old times while showing slides on the big screen. One of the slide showed a very young Celine, and David made a comment about her hair being dark then. She said "You should have seen it 3 years ago!" :giggle: David also recalled that during a particular recording he had praised Celine and had used the slang "bitchin'" which Celine took as a negative comment, seeing that she was just learning English at that point. :confused:

 

They also showed a picture with Barbra Streisand, David and Celine together, and how David made it possible for Celine to do a duet with her singing idol. :in_love:

 

At one point, Celine told David that he is aging very nicely and that he looks so young and handsome. :blushing1: David said that he has had 3 wives and maybe he and Celine could get together after she and Rene split. :msn-wink: Celine said "Well, we'll have to see about that." :P

 

David and Celine went up the raised part of the stage where he sat down to play the piano and she sang BYLM. It was truly a wonderful performance of the two of them and so nice to see them together! However, they never really disclosed when the David Foster Special will be aired or what occasion it was recorded for. I gues we'll just have to tune in..... :shrug:

 

There might be some other tidbits that I've missed and I'm sure Diana can help fill them in since she was also at the show that night. :yes:

It's not a new song...She sang the entire version of BYLM and IACBTMN and it was filmed for something for David Foster. She cut out TLYM that night in order to fit the full versions of the other songs in.

 

That's the news for now :)
