Do you want a duet of Celine Dion featuring Whitney Houston?

Hello everybody!

I´m new here, i'm portuguese, i'm 20 Y.O., and i'm a big fan of Celine Dion since I was a kid.

After all, i would like that you forgive me for my English, if I make some mistakes in this topic, please correct me.

Anyway, Celine and Whitney are my favourite singers, and in my opinion they are the best singers in the world music history.

Celine's new album is comming, and Whitney is working in a new album too, so my ideia is join this two biggest Divas in a fantastic duet that make us shiver. Something like Celine has done whith Barbra Streisand, "Tell Him", or like Whitney has done whith Mariah, "When You Believe".

I know that Celine loves Whitney, i saw her face and her emotion when she hears Whitney performing in the World Music Awards in 2004. I know too, that Celine loves to sing with other great voices, i'm shure that she will love to sing with Whitney.

 

I think that if my dream becames real, this song will be a huge sucessess like "My Heart Will Go On" ou "I Will Always Love You".

 

What do you think about it? It's a good or a bad idea?

 

Can we send this message to Celine or René Angelil?

 

Please help me to make my dream became real???

I remember that performance at the World Music Awards and seeing the pics of Celine watching Whitney. She was happy to see her doing & performing well - she respects Whitney. I don't think a duet with Whit would be a good idea though, I don't think their voices mesh too well. She did the duet with Mariah and I don't think that came out all too well either. So I think it's best they just do their own thing.

whitney is a poor junky who can't hit a note right anymooooooooooore...celine still has her gloden voice and should duet with singers who can still sing . all whitney can do this days is doing rap probably :mdr:

I don't agree with you. Whitney is much better than Mariah. When you listen they duet "Whet You Belive", Whitney's voice is clearly much powerfull than Mariah's voice. Whitney in this song sings much high notes than Mariahs can do.

I certainly would take it if Celine and Whitney recorded together. I think that if that were to happen, it probably would be several years down the road...once Whitney had re-established herself a bit. But I think it would be wonderful.

No I don't think it's a great idea at all. She was better in the 90's. Than today plus I think Celine would never do that but then you never now right. I still say no. :huh: :wink: :ninja:

I just watched that video and I gotta agree there, she didn't sound horrible but no where near how she

sounded when her & Cece performed that song live years ago. Whitney DID look good though. :)

Whitney seems to be getting her s*** together as evidenced by her most recent performance. I, personally, would love for them to do SOMETHING together.

I am really not interested in hearing a duet between Whitney and Celine. Whitney would try to over power Celine's voice and it just wouldn't sound good. As for Mariah, she will use sex appeal to win over the audience and there has been too much comparison in the past between the two. I prefer Celine in duets with men. The Peabo Bryson-R. Kelly duets were phenomenal. I would love to hear Celine colaborate with Brian McKnight or someone in that R&B genre. They make beautiful music together.
