It's a fantastic song Heart is an amazing group. There vocals are so strong and the arrangements are good. I think Celine is going to do a fantastic job with that song.

I saw online a slower version which isn't as good. The original version is more appealing.

I got that album years ago and thought it would be great if Celine did a cover of a Heart song! I was soooo happy to hear the song "Alone" would be on her new album! I was so happy when I've read that Celine is going to do a cover of Alone. This song has always been one of my all time favourites and I thought it would be great if Celine did a cover of it. She'd sound so great vocally and this dramatic style is so Celineish. Can't wait to listen to it!

Heart's version is good. But Carrie Underwood totally owns this song. Check her performance at American Idol and the special performance she did with Heart at VH1. It was really good!

 

I hope that Céline will use an arrangement similar to Carrie's. It gives much more energy and power to the song. I can't wait for Céline's version.

 

See, now that's why different songs/versions appeal to different people. I've heard Carrie's version and it is really good, but to me it doesn't compare to Anne's emotional vocals. Anne Wilson has a very strong, emotional voice - she's made a lot of great music over the years (some 30 + years). I've also loved this song and I'm very curious to hear Celine's version and also am curious to know why Celine chose this song to cover.
