Falling into You was the first CD I ever bought after hearing Because you Loved Me and It's all Coming Back to me Now. Since then I have been a HUGE fan. I keep up with the latest news and love to hear her new stuff. I pick her music over any other at any time.

The first time I heard Celine's voice I was 13 and it was with Beauty and the Beast but at this time I didn't know any english because I didn't like it at all. Years later I heard the song "Because You Loved Me" on the movie "Up close and personal" and I fell in love with her voice at first listen. She wasn't famous in Brazil at that time but that song played a lot on the radios ... and then I bought Falling Into You album and I got so impressed that I loved all the songs - most of them - while often from other artists I usually liked 3-4 songs on the album hehhe

Anyway...in 99 I started to like her even more and that was when I begun to learn English again so I could understand her interviews and also & mainly because I realized how important it was for my life to learn other languages. I loved her even more when I started to know more things about her as a person and I really loved what I found on her: simplicity, generosity, believe in love, her love story with Rene, etc etc etc

For me the best thing about being her fan is all the friends I got to know, friendships that will last a lifetime! :)

For me, it went back to 1999. I was at Grade 12 then. I bought the first cassette of ALL THE WAY. And to my surprise, almost all my classmates bought this album. I love almost all the song of this album. I can sing each of the song. When I get pressured to face up going to college, her songs helped me to get a relief. I really love “Immortality” and “IACBTMN” and “Power of Love”. When I was in College 2, I bought all her previous CDs and cared each news/interviews about her. She has a big part of my life till now and ever. And I started my French lessons this year because of Celine. Thank god, there is a singer who can saved you when you are so down.

I loved her since BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, but I was very young then. I really became a fan in 1996, when I was 10. I fell in love with her FALLING INTO YOU album.

Ever since then, I've bought her albums, singles, and videos. Nearly own all of her singles, except about 12. I also learned French just for her, and have become very fluent! (Spending nearly 300 euros in France this summer on her!)

I just heard her on the radio and "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" blew me away. I had to know who this singer was and the "Falling Into You" album hooked me.

Yes...as you probably have seen my post in the beginning of the topic...this was my idea to put it and actually i wanted to share this sad story of mine...like you said...when you're so down...there is sth that can change your life completely as she changed our lifes and this wasn't sth actually...it was her....her music and her good personality that has changed our lifes and has given us the strength that we needed most...now i can see that she has influence on many people...and...i was in some kind of dark.I thought that my life was ended...but then Celine appeared suddenly and saved me when i really needed and i'll be thankful to God forever...even my mom is on heavens now, believe me....i'm less empty..i do have my consolation and i feel different...i'm not down anymore...i'm here with all of you and Celine's giving me the strength to be...she gave me all...i don't know how to explain...i'm simply happy woman today...i miss my mom very much, but i feel happy...i succeded to find that happiness through Celine...and many people can't understand me...they think i'm crazy...that i'm insane, that i need psychiatrist...this is horrible...they can't understand the way she influenced on us when we most needed...nobody can understand that...only we can understand each other...that's sad...but...we got each other on here..that's important....just in conclusion i wanted to say that i completely understand you....

TO ALEX

And to me is nothing to spend 300 euros too...I'm going to see her in Paris, and i'll be spending more than 300 euros...and according to Celine, there's no limit that i can put to myself...i could spend all my fortune if i had it...definitely....that's the less thing i can do...

For me it was her voice, as I was 5 years old back in 1988 watching the Eurovision thing and didn't understand French. I also thought she was very beautiful. I even cut my hair like hers a couple of years later. She became my favourite singer in that same moment. And even though I was too young to actually follow her carreer I never changed to another favourite singer, it was always her. I remember being a fan of "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Power of Love" but yet I was very young and didn't speak english.

Only later, after growing up and learning english I decided to look for more thing about her. It was a very emotional time of my life, as I had just lost my father... and her voice was thing that made me feel better. And now here we are... Celine is just a part of my life.

As you have surely read my story...i was in similar case as you...so it's the true...Celine is just part of our lifes...and she'll always be...even is the stupid thing for sb,especially for my father...he doesn't understand that...he always says to me...˝hey...how can one ordinary singer be related with you?...there is no sense and she has nothing to do with you...˝etc....my grandmother says...˝that phase will pass when you grow up...˝nobody can understand that, but i don't care...i will be fighting till the end of my life...i do know what it is inside of me,i don't invent things, neither my feelings and i share it here...so it's enough for me.....i know that she is my life,my love and everything...i can feel it...it's the feeling very strong like i've already said and that won't die...even when my life ends...i think that the most important thing is to keep the feeling that we have....to not get attention what others say...i learned that from my experience...just to tell you :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2: kisses

And i forgot to say to you that i'm very impressed...you have been her fan through her whole career and that's really wonderful.....and my father would say now....hey....you are still definitely child....it's not about that...no.....it's about admiration and feeling and also....she saved many lifes....even the girl from coma....her song woke her up....i hope you heard that info....that's true... :msn-wink: :msn-wink: :msn-wink:

Maybe is stupid to talk about many feelings i got...but i cannot fight with that...i simply love CELINE DION and her greatest voice.....i admit that i'm obsessive one...she had influenced on me very much and i can't just keep my mouth shut up...i can't...

That's a very nice memory...

I was just 8. that's my grand-father who made me listen to D'Eux...then it was "love at first sight"!. I've recorded his CD on a tape as I haven't got money to buy it. I knew it by heart quickly and listen to it all the time...My family was already impressed...feeling that Céline will have a very special meaning for me.

then I do the same thing for FIY and my grand-father and grand-mother offered me LTAL....My first CD I was 10...

So it's a wonderful sweet memory for me.

after I buy all the CDs. 1,2,3,4,5....20...21...!

Perfect!!!!If i may say...i have an incredibly 66 cd-s.....i don't lie i swear......First...i have full discography...and that's 39 cd-s including compilations....and the rest are rare songs that never released and those which released....the third ones are remixes....karaokes.....in total like i said 66...incredible...isn't it??I can't even count them anymore...i'm delightful for and i would never regret for...the only bad thing is that they're not originals as well...some of them....in any way i'm happy to have that...some people don't even have a full discography....i think i forget sth.....3 songs misses me from ˝Celine Dion en concert 1985˝....that i couldn't find.... only three songs.....ohhhhhhhh Edited by cmcdaori

I was a little girl,8 years old,and I first heard "Power of love".I always remembered that name and voice.

But I became a real fan when I was 14 and heard "Pour que tu m'aimes encore".That song has made such a great impact on me that I could never even begin to explain it.

In september 1996 I saw the video of It's All Coming Back To Me Now and immediately fell in love with the song, but more important with the voice and the beautiful woman. I found her mysterious. I immediately got the feeling that there will never be any singer that will touch me the way she will. Then in december 1996 I saw the video of All By Myself (a version which shows her recording the song) and I was moved so deeply by her way of singing, her voice and the way she gave her everything in front of that microphone with so much emotion, I had tears in my eyes. Since then I'm a real fan.

The first album i heard wasn't Falling Into You though, but The Colour Of My Love, a cassette which I borrowed from my aunt at the end of april 1997. I listened to it over and over again. The first CD I bought (and it was my very first CD) was Falling Into You just one month after I borrowed TCOML. I didn't even have a CD player myself at that time, but I figured I could just record the CD on cassette with my brother's stereo set. In august 1997 I got my own CD player for my birthday and since then I bought all her albums (not at once, but 1 album every month from the money that I saved, untill I had them all). Sometimes I envy myself at that time to be able to buy an entire new album of Celine every month...now it's an average of one CD a year when a new album comes out LOL.

I "discovered" Celine in 2005. Well, In 1999 I won the international album for the famous soap-opera from that time. There was lots of good songs, and one amazing that I loved "TO LOVE YOU MORE".

I was a child, and remember me and my father trying to sing in the same time as Celine in that part: I'll Be.....................Waiting For You.

Then 6 years later I was listeing to the cd again when i noticed Celine's voice at the long notes in the end.. Ohh Ohh... I tried to sing along her, I did that every day. So, I searched for Celine on the internet, and discovered that she was the same singer of very popular songs as My Heart Will Go On, The Power Of Love, Immortality.

Finnaly, in my vacation last year I was at my aunt's home, and on a boring rain day I decided to listen to her CD's. And There it was: "1 Fille Et 4 Types". It was my first time listening to a french song. I Loved it. When I arrived home I bought togheter 4 cds, and started this endless journey as fan :)

Love comes to those who believe it...

Well, when I was in the 7th grade my french language teacher played PQTME once in the class. I fell in love with that song and the VOICE. I asked who was that and he said she is Celine Dion and he was beaming with pride when he told that she was from Quebec (as he was from Quebec, too). Then he started to play a lot of her French music.

But it wasn't until IACBTMN hit the radios in India. We did a short musical on that song. Our music teacher asked us to play any instrument used in the song and I chose the piano. Oh my... it was so damn tough to play the piece. But now I am so happy to say that I can play that song. Well, I can say that both PQTME and IACBTMN played a pivotol role in making me a Celine fanatic :D

But the crazy obsession of collecting her albums, singles and other stuff started when she took the break in 1999. I thought that I won't get to hear her again and started collecting all her stuff with the fear that it would all become rare and non-available. Trust me, I had to do a LOT of digging searching for her stuff cos all of her music are not available here in India. Numerous trips and requests to my aunt in Vancouver proved to be very helpful and I am very grateful to her for her help and support :)

I was 16 years old back in 1991 when I first heard a Celine Dion song in the radio, and it was "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" debuting at number 40 on Shadoe Steven's American Top 40 show. I fell in love with that voice and kept listening to a tape recording I made of that show. Here in Costa Rica, of course there was no internet and the record companies would not have Celine's album, so my tape was a huge possession for me. By June, I knew they had released "(If There Was) Any Other Way" as a follow-up, but radio stations here did not play it, as they mainly focused on songs that were Top 30 in the United States. I impatiently waited for every week's American Top 40 to see if it had debuted so I could record it as well. One Saturday, I had to go to an exam, so I missed the Top 40, and the following week, Shadoe Stevens announced: "Four songs drop out of the countdown this week: Celine Dion's "(If There Was) Any Other Way"..." I was crushed! I had been waiting to hear the song and I didn't. That following week, I happened to be downtown San Jose, and I went to a record store and they had the cassette single! I did not have any money, so I came home and asked my mother for some cash, so I could buy it. The morning after, the tape was gone, and they had only imported one copy! That made me really sad. Of course, I eventually started my Celine Dion collection, and now I am the proud owner of over 150 Celine albums and singles. What's even funnier is that a couple of years ago I spoke on the phone with a friend of mine and told him about the "Any Other Way" cassette that I wanted, and he was the one who bought it! As I had a rare Belinda Carlisle single he wanted, we exchanged the items, so I finally got the tape fourteen years after I had seen it. Next week I will be in Las Vegas, on Friday the 28th and I will get to see Celine for the very first time. If you will be there, you can send me a message or email at luisma4@hotmail.com . Also, if you want to drop me a line and share Celine moments, you can email me as well. Greetings from Costa Rica!
