speedy Posted August 21, 2007 at 10:03 AM Posted August 21, 2007 at 10:03 AM well...I became a Celine's fan may 1997 after my friend at the school let me see falling into you's cassette. He said me that was cool music and her voice a wonder, that cd's was a masterpiece, so i bought that one a few days later and i felt in love 100% with that voice and songs. after that i bought her previous english the colour of my love (i didn't know that she had so many discography before FIY), so about one year i was discovering her as a singer and bought the rest of her work (included french releases that here in spain in rare and expensive too).So I think that Im a huge fan of Celine and i will be always. That voice is after more than 10 years making me cry and smile...I feel so good wheni heard her... Regards to all her fans in the world Quote

greasepaint*30 Posted August 21, 2007 at 11:06 AM Posted August 21, 2007 at 11:06 AM i first heard Celine's Power of Love and Think Twice on the radio in the UK. Her voice just blew me away. After that I listened to everything she brought out and started collecting all her albums. By chance my friend's mum had tickets to her FIY tour and I got to see her for the first time, which was....AMAZING! I became a die-hard fan after that and have loved her ever since, and will always! Esty Posted August 21, 2007 at 11:19 AM Posted August 21, 2007 at 11:19 AM I became a fan in 1996 after hearing IACBTMN. At first I thought what an amazing song and I made my poor dad watch it every time the video was on tv, making remarks how I liked the song, etc. So when my dad couldn't take it any longer he got me Falling Into You on a cassette which I listened to so much that is now inaudible. Ever since I'm a fan (and my father, too, only he doesn't admit it, but listens to my Celine cds when I'm not at home - so my mother tells me lol). Quote

Filine Posted August 21, 2007 at 12:32 PM Posted August 21, 2007 at 12:32 PM I was 14 when I heard Think Twice. In the years after that I got Falling Into You, D'Eux and then LTAL. The first chance I got I went to see her in concert, in Amsterdam in June 1999 that's where I really fell head over heels in love with her and it never left me after that. She is my passion, my pride and my biggest comfort in times when everything is hard on me. She gave me several of my best friends and together we met Céline last January in Las Vegas for all of that I'll be forever grateful. Bell Posted August 21, 2007 at 04:42 PM Posted August 21, 2007 at 04:42 PM It started in 1996. The first Celine song I heard was 'Think Twice'. Then IACBTMN & 'Call The Man' captured me and I couldn`t spend a day without listening to Celine. I rediscovered her in 2004/2005 when I finally bought some of her earlier CDs. I fell in love with 'D`eux'. Quote 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER

Istike Posted August 21, 2007 at 06:38 PM Posted August 21, 2007 at 06:38 PM My first step was the Grammy awards with All By Myself. This was the most powerfull music-moment in my life. For first time, of course. Before that I hadn't any favorite band or music. I knew before the Power of Love and Think twice but I was younger and I didn't know the name only the voice from the radio. Than she won the Grammys and I bought FIY. Since that day she is with me in my every day. With her performances of all time cause I know that many many people don't want to watch her on stage and shows just listening to.... so I love her all the way. Quote IstiHungarian Fan Club

KimboCosmo Posted August 22, 2007 at 04:06 AM Posted August 22, 2007 at 04:06 AM (edited) Well, for me, I have been a fan of Celine's long before Titanic or IACBTMN came out. I was in 2nd grade, my sister bought me Unison for Christmas, and I looked at her, like "What the heck is this kind of present?" I had never heard of her before and all I cared about were New Kids on the Block! LOL! Well, she said, just listen to it, I promise, you will like it. I listened to it the first time, and then again, and again, and again! I was HOOKED! After that, I started watching for interviews and TV specials with her on them. I taped EVERY one of them! I still have all of those. Where Does My Heart Beat Now was the song I was obsessed over from that album, even though all of them are GREAT! I even skipped school to be home in the mornings when she would be on Live with Regis or Rosie O'Donnell. I taped all of those as well! I thought, if Celine quit school in 8th grade, then I don't need to go either! She was such a huge influence on me, my parents thought I had gone mad! Well, I finished school, and she still remains the biggest role model of my life. I am now 25, so I have been a devoted fan for many years, and I will be until the day I die! blue.grave Posted August 22, 2007 at 07:25 AM Posted August 22, 2007 at 07:25 AM Well for me. It started with the Power of Love. But at the time. I was 14 and I was way into rap and hip-hop to give Celine my full attention. So I filed that song in my mind as something I would play for a girl who really liked me. Some time latter when I was 19 I met a girl who was so into her. She would play her songs for me to listen to, and she would ask me if I liked Celine Dion. I told her at first I wasn't really into her style of music. I think I'm starting like it. A few weeks have passed and I went to Wal-Mart with my to go shopping for some things. I was at the music aisle looking at CD's to pass th time and there were two that cought my eye. But I only had enough money for one. the CDs were Toni Brakston's Secrets and Celine Dion's Falling Into You. the problem was that I wanted to buy them both. But I could only choose one. So I pulled out a quarter and said to myself Heads for Toni and Tales for Celine. as I through the coin into the air. you will decide it for me and that is all. No retries one chance. Well the coin. landed on tales. After that I went to the checkout stand with my mom to purchase the CD. Then when I was home. I heard Celine's voice and I was hooked from then on. I found more Celine Dion music to blast me ears with. And the next year. I saw her live on the LTAL tour. Ten years later, my Celine fandom is stronger then ever.
