Davey84 Posted July 20, 2007 at 05:53 PM Posted July 20, 2007 at 05:53 PM (edited) I thought this would be a great way to get to know your music taste beside Céline, and get to know other great music! Here how it works: post the album cover, the tracklist, why you love it so much, and if possible some youtube links! http://multimedia.fnac.com/multimedia//images_produits/ZoomPE/9/8/6/5033197272689.jpg Track Listing 1. Je Voudrais 2:26 I was in Madrid with school, and there was a FNAC, they had this cd for sale and I listened to it. I fell in love with this album the first time I heard it! I didn't knew Isabelle Boulay that well back then. The songs on this album stand like a house! My favs are Autre Vie (great repeating music and refrain), Aimons-Nous, Chanteur Sans Mélodie (my heartacke love song), Tout Un Jour, Je Sais Ton Nom and Je Voudrais (the lyrics are so haunting, I cry sometimes when I hear it! the first single: C'est Quoi , C'est L'Habitude http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5X3lI3cX2s One of my fave songs Autre Vie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIMK4quk62o And maybe the best known song of the album: the duet with Johnny Holliday Tout au Bout de Nos Peines http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbIaNYG7tsQ Edited July 20, 2007 at 05:55 PM by Davey84 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Céline's Blues Posted July 20, 2007 at 07:25 PM Posted July 20, 2007 at 07:25 PM I second that Isabelle Boulay's album, Dejvej! Her live CD "au moment d'etre a vous" is also breathtaking. Here my takes: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/1954/sine8bu.jpg RoBERT - Sine It's dark music for those who enjoy those typical charms of cold Europop coupled with amazing lyrics in French. Atmospheric music, mysterious rhythms and a fragile almost breaking voice of Robert makes this album one of best CDs ever recorded. Here, the hit single from 1993, "Elle se promene": http://youtube.com/watch?v=kFaKCx0062U http://www.dance-lyrics.com/ama/fumbling_towards_ecstasy_b000002vn7.jpg Sarah McLachlan - Fumbling Towards Ecstasy Before she went quite bland on her last two CDs, she was and surely still is somewhere within herself a truly unique artist who captures the sweetest emotions we are going through life and love, a true love Céline likes to sing about. It's S'il Suffisait D'aimer in English, a masterpiece of lyrical deliverly, vocals and emotional approach. Videoclip to "Possesion": http://youtube.com/watch?v=B6s5jquF_0Y Just beautiful. http://recordinspector.soundmarketplace.com/images/shop/product/AB580.jpg Another truly magical voice that coes from within a truly wise soul. Such albums happen only once in an artistic life span of a singer. Strangely every time sade releases an album it's a winner, a classic vintage sounding winner of smooth RNB, sophisti-pop and again dark rhythms which sound so good if listened with the person you love! AllCeline Posted July 20, 2007 at 08:50 PM Posted July 20, 2007 at 08:50 PM If I ever got stuck on an island and was only permitted a limited amound of music, it'd be "A New Day Has Come," by Celine and the following. http://img451.imageshack.us/img451/5717/mmsmallyq7.jpg "Wild Hope" By Mandy MooreDue to her previous mediocre work, I can't say that I was highly anticipating this album release from Mandy at all. However, time does play its part in all of us and Mandy was no exception. In "Wild Hope," Mandy Moore has reinvented herself; she's performed the transition from a characterless, bubble-gum teenage diva, into a sophisticated young woman who has realized that life is so much more than just candy and crushes. This, being Mandy's first album in which she's co-written in its entirety, is more than an exceptional album. The juxtaposition of pure, meaningful, and original lyrics with a soft but irresistible folk sound makes this album one in a million; by the end of track 12, all I could do is wish for more. The album displays Mandy's new discovery of the world beyond make-up and fame. It's impossible for one not to fall in love with. Mandy's been quoted saying that this is her last attempt at music but I see this as a brand new era for a newly matured artist. Goodbye bubble-gum pop, hello Mandy Moore! YouTube:- "All Good Things"- "Extraordinary" (Music Video)- "Looking Forward to Looking Back"- "Gardenia" * Also making the cut is "Harmonium" by Vanessa Carlton. You just can't go without getting a copy of these two records. I think every song in it is absolutely perfect and I can't even choose a song that I hate more or less because everything is great on this album, starting with superb electronic production by Williamn Orbit and also the lyrics which are amazing. and Madonna, who isn't the best singer in the world, fits so well with every song that I absolutely adore it. Alanis Morissette - Supposed Former Infatuation Junkey http://www.hasharat.co.il/images/albumThumb_2857_122.jpg Most people call her first album a masterpiece but I peresonally found her second album much more appealling and it talk to me alot more as well. Highlights:Nocturn!!!!, How to be invisible, King of the mountain, Coral room, Somewhere in between, Joanni, AerialSayyed, great to see you like this Kate Bush album. I love it too. Nocturn is breathtaking. The second disc A Sky Of Honey is amazing. -------------- Igor Strawinsky - Le Sacre Du Printemps. The greatest ballet ever written, and my favorite classical piece. There is a great recording of this by the Berlin Philharmonics with Karajan and another one by the the Cleveland Orchestra with Boulez Keith Jarrett - Facing You. Amazing album for those who love the piano. It's basically haunting piano improvisations put into songs Tori Amos - Boys For Pele. Beautiful album, especially recommended after a break up. Tori wrote this when she broke up with somebody. She's equally talented on the piano as on the harpsichord. Great proove that a harpsichord isn't just there to play some sleep inducing Bach concertos Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run. Just let's say it's his best album. It combines everything. Great piano lines, rocking guitar riffs - and the amazing epic moment of Jungleland. Typical Springsteen sound from the early years. Quote
