I don't think so, since she didn't record "La Diva" in Montreal, but later. So it must be New York.

I don't think it was in Montreal too because she record the song there in december and she didn't have those hairs at all, we saw her at the show of Marc Dupré. Must be in NYC at the same time she record the clip of SNRQ

it's the IWYTNM look all over again....we already saw pictures from the recording sessions of delles and she seemed diffrent - maybe it's for a video or something?

The excerpt from "La Diva" is from Act I of Puccini's La Boheme- the famous aria "Mi Chiamano Mini." Listen to the full song- preferably with Anna Moffo rather than Callas (Moffo's rendition of this aria might be the greatest thing ever sung)- it's an astonishingly powerful piece. Is La Diva just a renamed, re-lyricized version of this aria? If so, we are about to be blown away, I think.

 

And yes- I hear Callas there, unmistakably. It's shame Celine didn't attempt this on her own. It's also a shame she (or Rene, rather) still sees the need to engage in these sycophantic posthumous duets. Celine doesn't need to leech off of anyone else's credibility anymore; she's earned her own.

1. Do you have "Mi Chiamano Mini" by any of those singers and can you give it to me? I'd love to listen to it.

2. La Diva was inspired by Celine's fascination with Callas, so it makes perfect sense to sing with her. It's not leeching credibility. Celine just loves to sing with other amazing artists, and, to tell you the truth, there aren't other living artists at Celine's level of artristry

I agree. I'm thinking it gives a wrong impression. Some people will look at short clip and thinks it was duet.

i'm confused on la diva, is it celine's voice on top of callas' or is it the other way around? i barely recognize her voice and hmmm maybe because it's the first time i heard her sing an opera song.
