He died today. He suffered from Cystic Fibrosis. He won Star Academy and was a big fan of Céline. He also performed a virtual duet with Céline on Sous Le Vent in 2004.

Bio

 

Grégory en a charmé certains, en a ému beaucoup. En tout cas, il ne laisse pas grand monde indifférent et c'est indéniablement l'As de coeur de l'émission : il ira assurément très loin dans l'émission. Mais qui est ce jeune garçon fragile et touchant ?

 

Grégory allait avoir 24 ans. Il a vu le jour un 13 Mai 1983. Il habite non loin de Chambéry, dans une famille unie, entouré de ses parents, sa maman Laurence, son papa Pierre et sa petite sœur Leslie.

 

A l'âge de 20 mois, comme l'a révélé TF1, sa famille découvre qu'il est atteint d'une maladie génétique : la mucoviscidose. Mais Grégory veut grandir évoluer comme tous les enfants. Etant très actif et passionné, il a beaucoup de rêves qu’il espère bien réaliser. Il l’a décidé, il va se battre, mettre toute les chances de son coté, vivre ses passions, garder confiance. Il sait qu’à force de persévérance et de travail tout est réalisable.

 

Très jeune il a une attirance pour le milieu artistique. Il intègre ainsi une Ecole de danse ou il se révèlera être des plus doué. Ce n’est donc sans grande surprise qu’il décroche à l'âge de 12 ans, le titre de champion de France de Rock Acrobatique.

 

En parallèle de cette passion pour la danse acrobatique, il a une forte attirance pour le chant.

 

A l'âge de 15 ans, il participe à l'émission GRAINES DE STARS sur M6, où il interprète en solo une chanson de Daniel Balavoine : "Le Chanteur". Puis en trio "Foule Sentimentale" d'Alain Souchon. Malheureusement Grégory ne sera pas la graine de star... mais ce n’est que partie remise et il sait très bien que les échecs sont constructifs et permettent d’aller de l’avant.

 

Donc Grégory n'est pas du genre à baisser les bras.

 

Dans sa région, il poursuit son petit bonhomme de chemin et assure les premières parties des spectacles de Hervé Villard et Gilbert Montagné.

 

Ce n’est que mi juin qu’il est contacté par un ami sur PARIS qui vient de rencontrer les « casteurs » de Star Academy 4. Ces derniers ont pratiquement terminé le casting mais il leur manque encore une «VOIX» masculine pour boucler leur travail. C’est donc un coup de chance, une opportunité incroyable qui s’offre à Grégory. Ensuite cela va aller très très vite pour lui, la production étant séduite elle lui demande si il est intéressé par l’aventure Star Academy et si par conséquent il est motivé pour intégrer le château. Ce n’est qu’à ce moment là que Gregory leur fait part de ses problèmes de santé. Ce qui n’empêche pas TF1 de le recruter.

Après avoir conquis le jury lors de ce casting sauvage puis dans le château, face au corps professoral Grégory a conquis le Coeur des français puisqu'il est sorti Vainqueur de la Star Academy 4.

 

Son premier single intitulé "Ecris l'histoire" est sorti le 29 Mars et s'est classé directement à la deuxième place "du classement Ifop".

I know he has Cystic Fibrosis, and he's a Celine fan. That's why Celine did the virtual duet with him. I didn't expect he'd die so fast.

I'm sure that he was able to fulfill his dream to be able to sing with passion and devotion until his last breath.

But I guess the best thing to do to help his bereaved family, friends and fans (especially to his girlfriend Karine) in this difficult time is to pray.

 

At least in this way, they can draw strength from God up above to move on and to continue Greg's dream: to find a permanent cure for cystic fibrosis.

A sad fate for Gregory Lemarchal. Last April 30th while waiting for the donor of a lung, he succumb to pulmonary infections caused by cystic fibrosis/mucovscidose...
