Between "Je sais pas" and "I Don't Know" which do you prefer? I'm asking this question purely for research. Everybody will find out why later.

Take care,

Joe

Definately "I Don't Know" B)

I just love the crescendo [more].. I think the music in "Je Sais Pas" is a little flat (comparing to IDK)..

I get a better vibe from "Je Sais Pas" than I do from "I Don't Know" for some reason, even though I don't understand French. But I think "I Don't Know" is a far better version in English than "If That's What It Takes" which in my opinion is a far poorer version than "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore", so it's a hard choice.

JSP is very great, but IDK is also a powerful song. But I chose JSP, because D'eux is a true jewel...

I like certain aspects of each, but overall I like Je Sais Pas better. I love how it echos after she says it! It's beautiful.

I have to say Je Sais Pas.

But I do love that one part from I Don't Know, when she sing: 'by a dying flame'.

I love both, but I voted for "I don't know"...

"Today, I’m a person on a path of connecting with my source and understanding that I am on the leading edge of creation.."

Tough choice because I love both! Still I voted for Je sais pas because of JJG. Musically they're the same, only the languages make them so separate like they have a different tempo.

I prefer the lyrics of JE SAIS PAS!

You know even though I figured "Je sais pas" would get the most votes I didn't expect as many people to vote for the other choice, "I Don't Know," as they did. I guess it just goes to show the different tastes people have!

Keep those votes coming in. I'll mention why I'm asking this question later this week!

Take care,

Joe

I wish you would have included the choice, "I love both of them equally" because I do! I don't understand the French lyrics in "Je Sais Pas," but it doesn't matter to me! However, if I absolutely had to choose one of them....

can't do it - love 'em both!

I voted for the English version.

Regarding Pour que tu m'aimes encore and If that's what it takes, I would say I prefer the English version too, but for different reasons

here the lyrics are completly different, and I like the Enlgish one the most. Pour que tu m'aimes encore is a little creepy...I mean, she's obssed withg that guy. If that's what it takes is more like a Mother/child kind of love....

mmmmmmmm I think I'll start a topic with that.

If still there's anyone who doesn't know the difference between this two songs here are the lyrics. The translation of Je sais pas form the site of "Passion Celine"

I DON'T KNOW

A mountain of stone, a door of steel

Can't stand in my way, I'd go on

Brutal machines, unbending laws

Can't slow me down, I'd go on

I've learned how to deal and when to fight

I know what's real, I know what's right

I'm not afraid, a wounded dove

I can be tender in a world so tough

I'm sure I could face the bitter cold

But life without you, I don't know

The winds of the heart can blow me down

But I get right up and I stand my ground

I've tasted fear, my share of pain

The wasted tears of love in vain

I've held you tight, pushed you away

Now with all my might I beg you to stay

I'm sure I could face the bitter cold

But life without you, I don't know

I know what I want, I know what I need

But there's just one thing I must believe

Deep in the night by a dying flame

You will be there when I call your name

I'm sure I could face the bitter cold

But life without you, I don't know

I don't know

I don't know

I don't know

I don't know

------------------------

JE SAIS PAS

Divert rivers, carrying weights

Cross oceans, I would know how

Challenging machines, flouting laws

God's wrath, don't afraid me

I know how to accept a hit, give it back also

To punch nails, that I learned

I'm no victim, I'm no dove

And to break me, I have to fall

I know the winters, I know the cold

But life without you, I don't know

I knew the silence for a long time

I know it's violence, it's blood taste

Red angers, dark pains

I know the wars, I'm not afraid of them

I can defend myself, I learned well

We're not tenders by here

I know the winters, I know the cold

But life without you, I don't know

Fight after fight, worst after worst

Each minute, I tought I could hold

I would love to learn day after day

But who orders to our loves?

I know the winters, I know the cold

But life without you, I don't know

I don't know

I don't know
