Celine and Christina

This is by far one of most ridiculous questions, SlovakClark! Céline's voice has depth, Xtina's while being very powerful and raw doesn't even compare to soul Céline emanates. Each voice is one of a kind at all events - no need to think Céline is best of them all cuzz she is NOT and never will be! She's got a unique talent that she can use in many many different ways - this is what separates her from the rest but doesn't mean she's the best. She may be the best for you or me but objectively speaking there will be always someone else asserting the opposite. Most important thing is whose voice touches you, Xtina's, Céline's, Mariah's or Valentina (           ) or whoever.

 

Xtina wouldn't be able to pull "L'abandon" off so well, while she's great, her voice doesn't do much to me.

Well in summary, everyone has different opinion. I wont say Christina is BAD.. since I'm a Celine fan, I would say Celine is the best!!!

Christina? Voice? Good? Honey, I don't think so. She pushes her voice to the point where she screams the most ear-shattering scream because she can't reach those notes. She can't control her voice at all. At her rate, I say she'll be out of the business to become a nun in no time.

Celine, on the other hand, is the purest of them all. It shouldn't even be mentioned that Celine's voice isn't crystal. For all I know, Celine's voice is DIAMOND. Celine is able to control her voice and reach those heart-peircing, heart-melting notes without straining or pushing it. Celine's voice is MUCH more powerful. We all know it. Celine cannot be compared to people like Christina... Celine is waaayyy out of her league.

Christina can't even sing, although everyone says she has a powerful voice. Whenever she comes on my local radio station, I shut it off because I can't stand her voice. I wish she'd go off and put some clothes on.

what is the crime that this female singer commits to be connected with so many negative words? simply just because she is compared to Celine?

 

try to be open, guys, there are lots of singers in the world, and celine is no doubt one of the best. but don't think that other singers are worthless.

 

we all don't want celine to be criticized, so why do we criticize other singers? when celine is being criticized, we feel sad, so do the christina fans feel when they see what we are posting here.

 

we can say that we prefer celine's voice than christina's, but saying that in a humble way. like celine always does, she is so humble that i've never hard her saying anything bad about other singers even though she knows that she is far batter than them.

 

btw, if christina being screaming all the time, she must be the best screamer. because very very few people can scream like her, haha

1. Christina uses her voice poorly. yes she does high notes.. maybe higher than the ones Celine has but in a few years she will lose her voice..

Please tell me what do u think: i ve just heard Christinas new song Candy man, and i am very jealous to her , cause her voice is sooo excelent, she is taking ten second high note at the end of the song and i am very afraid that our Celine cant do this crystal powerfull note yet.

Totally agree with Bellamy! I've never heard a crystal note from Aguilera! And I don't understand why Celine called Aguilera the greatest voice nowadays at the Tyra Banks show! Well, she's okay, yeah, she has a voice, but that's it! To take a ten second high note for Celine is like to have a cup of coffee! Are you kidding, SlovakClark? Celine can take a FOURTEEN second high note & without any special efforts, like Aguilera does!

CELINE'S THE BEST!!! How can you compare the DIVA's voice with Aguilera's!!!

These type of threads should not allowed here at this forum (Celine vs anybody). Xtina's fans could come here and read comments. It could cause FLAME War.

I went to see Christina an her UK tour a few months back, great show and she has a fantastic voice. BUT it could be amazing if she'd just use it properly! Along with many other singers...Bouncy, Mariah etc they have to sing A-B but go though Z if that makes sense?

 

Celine has much more depth to her voice (and yeah I think she has more soul than the above singers put together). I like money notes always have always will, but they are not always important to the song (IKILY proves that point) Singers like Christina and Bouncy have to have them in. Even when the song doesn't require them.

 

I'm not actually a fan of Mariahs (can't sing properly, won't sing properly) and Bouncys (shout, shout and shout!!) voice, Christinas I like but it annoys the hell out of me sometimes. Although songs like Hurt, Candyman and Mercy on Me stop me from going completly insane.

 

Celine to me will always have the best voice. Even though she doesn't sound as good as she once did, she still sounds amazing an a bad day. The control she actually has on her vocals still astounds me even now.

I think they are very different singers. Xtina uses more runs in her voice, not str8 notes like Celine usually does. To me, Xtina sounds more like Mariah and would be easier to compare her to Mariah. Celine's voice is more honed and controlled, she uses her breathing properly so her voice has & will last a long time. Just because one artist can hit a note that another hasn't or can't doesn't mean they are a better singer. Look at Mariah, she hits that very high whistle sounding note and not very many artists can hit it. Now that doesn't mean she's a better singer than anyone else though. She doesn't hit that note live much anymore tho and when she does she has to put her finger in her ear so she can hear it and it looks very awkward to do.

First off, you`re asking the question on a CELINE fan board...so I don`t think we`ll be very objective anyway, I`m with everyone else. Christina has a great voice, very powerful, but Celine has more control and I think that has a larger scale of difficulty then a lot of belting and ornamentation.

But i do know Celine can shout well too.. that's the reason for all collaboration with other celebrities, Celine is the only one who does the high pitch sound. Love lights the world, voices that care, aren't they all our children, what more can i give?

Christina and all of this kind of little too grew up girls they sounds good on the cds, but not live. I listented to Christina sining live sometimes, it was a mess, she couldn't scream.

Christina is a good singer but she isn´t great when it comes to high notes it sounds more like she´s screaming and that´s not good nor great singin to me.

Celine on the other hand is a perfectionist when it comes to singin high notes and she does with out straining her voice out like many divas does these days.

For me Celine is the greatest female singer ever born with Barbra Streisand.

I just know this Celine´s vocalrange is beyond human and she has a Lyrical Colouratura Soprano.

Nobody has the unique, soothing, timeless, quality singing voice that Celine Dion has...and no one ever will. Celine will remain among the greatest singers of all time...and Christina is of no comparison.

 

I'm not saying the girl can't sing, but she is hardly a living legend like Celine Dion.

Celine as well as Xtina belong to the category Robot's: send them a song, they will record like you want. Now Celine is better live, less robot-ish thank god, much more emotion. But I think she is not unique. Whitney can do alot like her, and other robot singers can even do more than her.

 

And don't attack me now, coz I love her to death. And I truly think she has one of the biggest voice out there. But not only her.

 

If you really talk about unique, soothing, timeless, quality i would talk about singer who aren't that famous, but still singing with their whole body. If I had to give one example, I would say Eva Cassidy.
