seb we all knew that...but celine of 1996 is not the celine of 2007...today she is an icon , since then she sold more than 100 million records and made much more money so the situation is diffrent now .

 

and u can be cynical as long as u want but u also know very well that her voice back then was much more powerful and accurate - that's the fact and it has nothing to do with lip synching .

She still did a PRIVATE show and she still did LIP some songs! Just as she now does do private shows and song lipping. Nothing's changed except she's older and richer.

that's not the point . it's a matter of reputation and respect . i can not respect singers that just fly across the world to sing for money and only money .

there is no fun here or a career move , the only reason for doing something like this is the money .

i can understand young artists and people who dont have alot of money who would do something like this , but first class artists? i know that many icons r doing it but i just think that there is no diffrence between this and prostitution .

i cant blame men/women who sell their body cause they need the money for food but when u have all the money in the world , why the hell do u need it? it's just being greedy and i hope celine will never do something like this

Just imagine: who have worked all your life and you made a lot of money in a company. Then someone out of the blue makes a offers for different business to your company in another country, a business that would be worth some money. You don't need this money but yet you accept it. Would you be called a prostitute then?

 

Like it or not, Celine's singing it's her job, her singing is business and no one works for free. If she accepted it would be perfectly acceptable because it's her job, end of story. It's so easy to judge other people, isn't it?

It would be really cool if one of us were this rich. I was thinking about this earlier today at work. I'd LOVE to be able to just "buy" Celine for a day and request certain songs to be sung. I'd love for her to sing "I Feel Too Much" live again. It may not have been many fans' favorite, but it's one of my all-time favorite Celine songs. Very awesome!

I don't think it's that bad if a performer wants to do these private performances. I think it goes on more than people know about with a lot of entertainers. It's sort of like when certain Hollywood celebrities that never do TV or print ads in North America sometimes will do them in other countries, like Japan.

 

Personally if this recent Celine story is true I don't think she will do it just because of her schedule. She would have to fly a very long way, perform, then fly back in time for her LV shows. It seems like too much.

And apparently they have "accepted, with pleasure".

It is understood the powerful couple (and their Secret Service entourage) will fly into Sydney on a private jet for a party day at the Opera House -- one of three "birthdays".

 

Reports also have songstress Celine Dion and actor Hugh Jackson there.

 

The Clintons are then expected to take a short break in Queensland before returning home to campaign in earnest.
