I didn't mean this forum specifically. It is just that with the way that the Internet actually is, now, it is easy to get one's hands on "exclusive materials" and such that some members pay for and that others don't via sharing capabilities, screen captures and all that good stuff.

 

I can understand why some do it for their fellow fans but in a way, also, it is my personal opinion that if we followed the rules that are set on TeamCeline (no sharing, basically) a lot of the paying members may be at least a little happier with what we are provided.

 

It just makes it hard, I imagine, for people on their end, to do MORE things or NICER things when those things will only be "reproduced" elsewhere as well.

 

My point is, in this topic, how could Team Celine "win" some of the non-members over so that more could be offered for Team Celine members (if anything really can be done at all).

 

 

I like the PayPal idea-- that's a start to solving the "I can't pay for it" explanations.

i'd expect advanced cd + dvd sales (more complete i'd say) more male merchandise and more uptodate info anyway (without being TC) from such a succesful singer's website...its for HER better promotion,the rest could be TC exclusive stuff

What I don't understand personally is why someone would choose to pay for the TeamCeline material just to give it to others for free. I find this insane. It totally defeats the purpose of joining TeamCeline to gain access to the "exclusives", of which there are too few updates by the way.

Having some sort of encrypted files sent only to the Team Celine members could minimize access from non team members from hacking the link to be distributed freely. What things do you think should be shared with all of the fans? Like, the messages addressing Team Celine members? Because personally, I think those should not be given out to everyone for free, really. She addresses "all fans" on TV. When I see a video on Team Celine where she is addressing just we members, it makes me feel acknowledged. It makes me smile. If she did this every year for everyone, it's one big perk I'd miss. You know?

I'm not sure..but I think DRM system protects data by encrypting stuff and/or by marking the data with a digital watermarks or something.

basically you feel happy cause Celine tells you and some millions more "thank you for paying" ? cause i've seen it...and that's what it is + she invites more ppl to exceed the limit to their credit cards by going once per month to Vegas

And Amelie, yea, basically that is what I am saying. It is nice to get an acknowledgement (even if it's with thousands of others) thanking us for the "support."

 

It's kind of like when, before I was a member, I would watch TV and she'd mention the fans and I'd smile knowing that she was talking about a group that I was in , however vague. It just kind of sparks my interest and makes me think "Yea, I'm a part of that". I don't know. Hard to explain. I'm a sappy kind of girl like that.

 

Now as a member of TeamCeline, I see those special messages to Team Celine members and I get that same kind of feeling. Like "Yeaaa, that's me! I'm a part of that!" except for the group that I am in, now, is a little smaller than before. It makes, I think, most fans feel valued. Most of the members, I think, enjoy seeing that.

 

But we're kind of off topic, here.

 

To get back on track, the point is to share and pin-point little ideas where fans would feel it was really WORTH it and really WANT to be a member of TeamCeline.

 

If there is nothing that you think could be done to interest you in that, say that...and then explain why.

OK, I could copy and send out the photos but I can't copy the messages from Celine...

 

I wanted to save her messages to TC members on my PC - not to share them with the others but just to keep them in my own multimedia collection... but it doesn't work, I find no way to save it...

YAHOO!!!! I finally got my TEAMCELINE CARD!!!! I'm officially a Teamceline member now!!! After 7 years hehe. Well the reason I do this is because I am going to watch Celine live in VEGAS in June!!! So I'll be spending quite a lot theere i think. So it would be better to bcome teamceline member. Furthermore, loads of new stuffs coming up in few months time. We'll be the FIRST to listen!! How amazing this is. I urge everyone to join!!!!

the main reason i'm a member of tc is for the meet and greet you can win although i do'nt have a change to win looks like they just choose someone without reading your answer to the question.

Honestly, I'm not really interested in this whole TeamCeline thing. The only good thing about it is the chance to get better seats to the show and since I won't ever get the opportunity to go there I see no point in joining TC.

How much of a discount do you get when you join? The website doesn't really say. That's really the only reason I'm thinking of joining. After seeing the boutique, 10% off doesn't really seem like a deal. A lot of the stuff in there (like the frogs) was just silly.

 

Sarah Mclachlan releases cds that are exclusive to her fan club. They contain live versions of songs, as well as remixes that you can't find anywhere else.

 

An autographed picture would be nice.

 

Some kind of quarterly magazine with Celine news and a message from her.

 

For the boutique discount to be worth the 25 bucks you'd have to spend at least 250 bucks. And, without really knowing the type of discount you get on the tickets, it's not worth the 25 bucks.

 

I guess really, they need to make it worth while for all of her fans, not just the ones that can make it to Vegas.
