The water is $5 now.

I bought a cocktail before the show so that I could keep the souvenir cup. It cost $14, but was really yummy. Then I saw that 4 other people just left there cups on the table. A guy came to clear it away and I asked if I could keep them. He said "sure, let me just wash them and put them in a bag for you" How sweet :giggle: I was just getting my money's worth :mdr:

I can't believe we're on page 5 already :giggle:

Here's a funny story for ya: when I was in Vegas in November, during that thing with the cameras before the begining of the show, they put the camera on a guy in the front row that had a bottle of water. And the guy went: "FIVE! FIVE!" pointing at the bottle and showing 5 fingers! Everybody bursted out laughing :lmao: Then they went on to somebody else and later returned with the camera on that guy and he did the same thing again, like he couldn't believe he paid 5$ on a 50 ml bottle of not that great water :lmao:

I was crying with laughter from those scenes.

Everyone was so funny. The cameraman is hysterical. When the couples kiss each other and he gives a thumbs up or when he blurs the image coz people are being "naughty" :giggle:

I never bought any water bottles or other drinks... but I have plenty of water bottles and cups.  I just steal the leftovers after the show.  When I got the rose a few years ago, I was walking out and picked up a water bottle (thinking about how I needed something to put my rose in)... and one of the usher ladies walked by and said "Honey, take it!  All the fans do that!"  I washed it thoroughly, and it kept the rose alive while in Vegas. :)

Wow Jennifer - you got THE ROSE? How did you get sooo lucky?? I always wondered how they choose to give the rose to. In Sept I was in the 2nd row and the lady that got the rose was almost right in front of me and I was soooo in awe so see Celine that close.

By the time I leave the show most of the water bottles are probably thrown out. After the show I just sit there for the credits thinking back on the show I just saw and really can't move for a few minutes. It's an emotional experience. I love it.

:shocking: Whoa $5 now! Damn, cha ching!!! I will admit that back in 2004 they were taking pics with a backdrop of the show logo and I did buy one - it was way too expensive but I had to have it! LOL Not sure if they still do that, but now I know they are taking pics with the wax statue but I don't know what they are charging for that.

I'm gonna look for those cocktail cups before the show when I go in March, I'd love to have those.

Everyone - on this forum is there a thread to talk about the Celine Store in Vegas? Just wondering what people have bought, prices, etc. The first time in the store I spent almost $400!

I'll try to make this story short so I don't get too off-topic here. It was my first time in Vegas to see Celine (May 2004). I had Orch 44 Row CC tickets, but the show was cancelled. So, I had to buy one for later in the week - row GG. I wasn't satisfied with Orch 3 Row GG, so I called the Box Office every day looking for a better one for the following day's show. One day, the automated system said "AA"... so I bought it.

I was in Las Vegas with a friend whose mom was attending the huge CA convention at the Venetian. Her mom is some big-wig of a company and told me that she would "make some calls" and get Celine to do something special for me. Yeah right, I thought.

A few days later, she said, "They talked to Celine and she's going to do something special for you during the show." I didn't believe her. I thought, the only way Celine could do anything special would be to give me the rose... and I'm way off on the side so that won't happen.

Well, at the end of the show when everyone was applauding and standing up, I saw the ushers up front look at each other and the one right beside me nodded his head in my direction and whispered "It's coming over here." He couldn't be talking about ME, could he?! Well, Celine took the rose and headed straight for me! She gave me a big hug, I cried all in her hair, and it was the most exciting moment of my life. :D

Okay, so maybe that wasn't so short after all...

I just checked the Ticketmonster site and they list the December 15th show as pricing the same as the other shows that week. So that IS a good thing for us.

Now we all just have to get the best seats we can!!!!

congrats jennifer, it is my goal in life to get an AA ticket!! :D

I am FF 402 for December 14th. I was at work and silly ticketmaster wouldn't reload fast enough.

Hi Lucie!! So nice to see you posting! :D

I'm so scared for the 15th! I really want good tickets, but ticketmaster seems to really hate me!lol

Yay Salla, we're seat buddies. :D

And Lucie, welcome to the "scared for the 15th" club. My computer freaked out so badly (at work too) that I'm up in the Mezzanines for the 14th. So, if you guys could just step aside and let me get a great seat for the 15th, that would be great. ;) Kidding!

I'm contemplating skipping work that day. I'm afraid my boss will call some impromptu meeting, and I will look like quite the idiot trying to get out of it. Maybe I'll be "sick."

With regards to the five dollar water, I noticed that alot of movie theatres charge four dollars, which is crazy. At least you can kind of justify paying that much at a special event like ANDL one time. It's a souvenir.

I'll tell you how crazy my priorities are right now. I'm currently in between jobs and when I went to this job recruiter the other day they were telling me about a possible upcoming job. I wrote down that I could start 2/19 (I wonder why?!). Yesterday they called me and said this place wanted to interview me but they wanted someone to start

this upcoming Monday. I'm going to see them tomorrow but they may let me start on that later date anyways if they hire me. Obviously I don't want to jeopardize anything, and I don't think my start date is unreasonable, but I really would like to try to get my ticket on 2/15!

The mind is a terrible thing to waste. :lmao:

Hahaha... is it bad that I don't think that's unreasonable? I completely understand. I'm trying to decide if I need to take the day off of work on that day just in case. What if the boss calls a meeting? What if someone comes by my cubicle and tries to talk to me? Ugh...

Yeah I know it can be hard if you are at work and trying to get tickets, especially with something like this when you have to try to get on exactly when the tickets become available. That's always the time someone needs to talk to you or something else comes up that you have to do. I kind of worry that I still won't get an Orch seat or if I do it will be the rear Orch. To me, there is really not much of a difference between the rear Orch seats and the 1st Mezz. The only difference is that the 1st Mezz is just above the rear Orch. I've sat in a rear Orch seat, I think row C, and even that row was pretty far back.

I will be very happy to get anything in Orch4 rows BB-(however high they go). The other thing I'm wondering is if it will be better to first select "best available" "any price" or put in "Gold circle" and "$324"? I'm not sure if it matters.

Hey tell them you can start on Monday but also say you have a doc appointment or something already set up and you'd need 2/15 off. I think they'd understand, they'd be getting you for 4 of the 5 days instead of none. :w00t:

I'll be at work that day too and I work with the public, so there's always a chance someone may walk in & want something around that time. I'm not gonna let anyone bug me tho, I'm telling my co-workers that Celine tix go on sale at 1pm and I can't be disturbed til I get my seat - hopefully Orch4!

At least we kind of have two opportunities to get tickets, 2/15 and 3/1 (I think for the general public). Are there any stores that have Ticketmaster outlets anymore? I remember getting tickets a couple years ago at a department store and also the now defunct Tower records. It doesn't seem like there are outlets like that anymore. I guess they figure everyone just gets everything online now.

How lucky am I to have have jury duty on 2/15? that's not gonna stop me, I'll just reschedule it to a later date. :ermm:

haha, I was totally going to leave work early on march 1st, but I can't leave early on the 15th. I am teaching in a computer lab though, so I am REALLY going to have to make sure my kids are occupied and start reloading early because none of our clocks are right.

Maybe you can take a laptop into the courtroom! :lmao:

With regards to choosing "best available" or choosing the exact section and price for tickets, in theory it should not matter since it should be looking for the best ticket if you are willing to pay the highest price...but you never know if it really works that way. I tried a little test where I chose an August date to find a front Orch area ticket using both methods and either way it came up with the same Orch 4 DD ticket.

 I was told they have a room where you can plug in your laptop to go online. It's probably wireless and I'd think my wired connection at home is more reliable and faster. Ain't worth the risk! :P

One good thing I noticed on 2/1 was that the tickets actually became available to buy at the exact time that they should have been. I know in the past sometimes I'd have to wait five minutes or so before it let you start selecting tickets. Also I forgot that when it gives you the ticket(s) it kind of puts them on hold for a few minutes to finish the transaction or cancel it, so if you cancel, the ticket(s) go back out and someone else gets them.

It seems that, for the most part, the first ones that they give you are usually going to be the best ones. There may be exceptions, but it seems like the best thing to do is to just take whatever it gives you in the beginning. It seems to go downhill after that.

You will save time if you log in to Ticketmonster before they go on sale, it speeds up the checkout process since they only give you a limited time to complete the purchase.

I agree that the first seats they give you are usually the best they have. Im gonna try for the Orch4 Gold Cirlce and if I get one on 1st try then I'll purchase. If they give only rear Orch or 1st Mezz I'll try a few times before I settle for something other than Gold Circle. Sometimes though a person holding good seats can't complete their transaction or they lose their connection, then those seats they are holding goes back into inventory and some lucky person will get them. It's really all pot luck, ya never know. I think the important thing is to just be there no matter where we sit. :D

Yeah, I made sure I logged into my Ticketmonster account beforehand so I wouldn't

have to fill out all of the credit card info when buying tickets. You're right about how some people's transactions don't go through when they try to buy them or there is a problem with the credit card, etc. so then those tickets go back out. I think a few people here had some problems like that. If you look at the ticket list for 12/14 not that many people were able to get Orch 4 seats, although I'm sure there may be some TC members who got them who we don't know about. I agree it will be great just to be at that 12/15 show so I'll be happy with anything. :thumbsup2:
