I can't beleave that they are selling tickets for the last shows for Decimber allready. I'll be lucky to go in October. That if there are any tickets left for that time.

I have no idea what I'm getting for the 15th. Honestly, I think I'm going to try to get the best seats possible. I know it will be expensive... especially because I'm buying two (probably). If I'm not quick enough, I'll be sitting up in the Mezzanines.

I was actually going to get a GREAT seat for this show... but my computer freaked out and then I couldn't read Ticketmaster's little jumbled word thing!  Ugh!  So, I was offered rear orchestra and thought.. well.. I'll just take the boyfriend with me and we'll go up to the 1st Mezz.  I had to try for a while to get row A 1st Mezz, though.  HOPEFULLY it will go better for me two weeks from now!

That jumbled word security password drove me CRAZY. It takes long enough to enter the TC member number and then you have to enter that second field. What really was bad is sometimes the letters were blurry and I would make a mistake and have to start all over. It's weird because sometimes all the letters were clear.

 

I've never sat in the mezzanine so it will be cool to see the show from that perspective on the 14th. I really look forward to meeting everyone from this forum who will be sitting there.

 

Maybe we should get everyone in the fan sections, at the appropriate time, to shout out "We love you Celine" during the show. Hopefully it would not freak Celine out and I think she'd really appreciate it.

OMG - I agree. It drives me nuts too and sometimes I have to go like 4-5 times b4 I get it right. I HATE Ticketmonster!!!

 

The 1st Mezz is awesome b/c you can see the WHOLE stage so well. You really appreciate the theatrics of the show - the dancers, the effects, the big screen. It's just a whole different experience.

If you are not able to get the 12/15 tickets on 2/15 I'm pretty sure you will be able to get them in March. On Ticketmaster it shows that after the pre-sale they will be like all the other dates and have them on sale for the general public. The big difference is that there will probably be alot more people than usual trying to get the 12/15 tickets when they go on sale to the general public. Even though I already have a ticket for 12/14 last night I went to Ticketmaster and wanted to see if any tickets would come up.

Nothing came up, so it looks like all of the TC blocks are gone for 12/14, although for 12/12 and I think 12/13 there were some rear Orch seats left.

 

The only thing I will be anxious to see is if anyone gets the the good Orch seats for the 15th, or are those not going to be available to us. I think that will have at least some of those reserved for us. Although I'd love to get a great seat for 12/15, I'll be happy with anything since I just want to be at that last show.

"General public" is not usually that fast. The first time I went I waited for general sale and I got fairly good seats, in BB, CC and DD. All I can do is hope.

I think you're probably right about that. When TC seats go on sale it's only in the TC reserved sections, so it's a limited amount of tickets. That's why no one ever gets

Orch 3 AA or BB, etc. tickets or Orch 5 AA or anything in the first few rows of those sections which are still good seats. Those don't come out until the general public tickets go on sale.

aw, girls First of all you're not bad fans! You just always can't have the money, especially when they decide to increase the prices. grr @ that! Just try to get something awesome for the 15th! We all need to be there together!

For anyone who is still looking for a ticket for the Dec 14th show, I just did a ticket search for 2 tickets and found some in First Mezzanine. I know that before it said sold out, but I was able to find these (row C first mezz, right behind a few of us). So, if you're still looking for one and want to buy it before general public sales, keep searching. Otherwise, I'm sure you can find great seats when general public tickets go on sale. remained the same.  However, due to rising operating costs a ticket price

increase

that rather than increasing prices for the entire year, a price increase

would be instituted for the final four weeks of the show only.

Everything is more for December tho, the tix, the fees, etc. Those Ticketmonster fees are just horrible, over $30 a ticket.

 

I still have hope that the tix for 12/15 will be the same as the other dates in December. These casinos get greedy tho - very greedy.

Yeah, I'm sure any decision they made wasn't out of pity for us They probably ran the figures and realized non-celine people wouldn't fill the Colosseum for 12 months at those prices. I mean, I love Celine more than life itself, and it pains me to pay $350 to see her..lol. The average vegas tourist who makes up the majority of the audience every night is about a million levels lower on the Celine devotion scale! They can just go to "O" if Celine gets out of hand.

 

I wonder if there is even that much demand for tickets, like, three weeks before closing night where people are willing to pay that much more. Anyone THAT into Celine is coming the last week. I'm kind of curious how the middle of November is going to sell... even I'm not willing to pay $350 for a regular old november show. I'll go for broke closing week, but other than that they're pushing their luck! I'll pay $225 as much as possible before the prices go up, then I'm out of there until closing week. hah.

Wow. That TC response is very interesting. They make it sound like they are doing everyone a favor by not spreading out the extra costs during the year and just tacking it on to the final weeks of shows.

Why didn't they start doing this last year? I guess they figured the prices were already high, although alot of LV shows are expensive. The lower price Celine tickets are equivalent to many other shows anyways.

 

I guess that Colosseum WAS expensive to build!

I think we will see a big push from Ceasars this year to promote the show, they wanna fill those seats big time. Celine has 2 cds due out in 2007, so she will def be promoting the show as well. I check Billboard Magazine each week and they report on the top concerts and Celine's usually seels very well and she still has sold out shows here & there. I think it's pure profit at this point. Look at what they sell once you're there - $4 for water!

I will admit I was a victim of the $4 water. I bought it once just because I wanted to have a bottle with the AND label. I came close to buying the Celine chocolate bar, but I wanted to keep in intact without eating the chocolate and I figured it would melt by the time I got back home.

There are TWO chocolate bars - one milk, one plain (dark). I think the foil is a different colour but the wrapper is the same. I bought the plain one - I've tasted better. It took me ages to get to the chocolate without damaging the outer wrapper

 

A note about the water bottle (which I also bought) - at the end of the show there are usually lots left behind and I saw people taking them If only I'd known, I wouldn't have had to buy one!

When I got the rose a few years ago, I was walking out and picked up a water bottle (thinking about how I needed something to put my rose in)... and one of the usher ladies walked by and said "Honey, take it! All the fans do that!" I washed it thoroughly, and it kept the rose alive while in Vegas.

At one time Celine and her family owned this Quebec chain of restaurants, but I'm not sure if they still are invested in it anymore. I know they had a picture of Celine on the wall when I was there and at one time her mother and some other family members were actually working there! I saw it in a video about Celine but I think that was in the late '80s or 90's when they were working at one of them.

 

I think the "Celine" chocolate bars are either Godiva or Ghiradelli. I wish I had waited for the empty water bottles!
