Okay, nothing is set in stone yet, but I'm thinking about making a book for the Taking Chances World Tour. Show of hands... would anyone be interested in participating?

Hi everyone!

Great news... we're making another book! We will soon be accepting submissions for a new "fan story" book about the Taking Chances World Tour.

This time around, I am partnering with my friend Heidi ("#1fanforever" on the forum) to create the book. The process for submission will probably be similar, however we are in the process of formulating the details and procedures before we request submissions. When we have all details decided, we will create a new thread and post a link here so that you don't miss it.

Like I said, we are still working out the details of this project. In the meantime, if you think of any genius ideas to make this book great, please feel free to PM me or post in this thread for now and we'll see if we can incorporate them into our plan.

We know that many of you (including us!) haven't yet seen her on the World Tour because it hasn't yet come to your city. In that case, just be sure to keep us in mind for after your concert... we will continue to make this book up until the end of the tour.

Celine says that she wants her fans to "get a life" sometimes and do other things other than seeing her shows, so how about a section that shows other things that fans have done during the tour. For example, if we travelled to see her we could show pics of the some of the sights we saw in that country. If Celine didn't get to tour that city, then she might really like to see some of it's famous tourist attractions. I think you know where I'm going with this. It would please Celine to know more about places she's been, and I'm sure all of us wouldn't mind knowing more too.

Please feel free to tweek this idea and make it work, but I hope you like it. :wub:

I also think this is a great idea! But what about those fans who didn't really "travel" to another city? For example, the concert in San Jose, CA, is only about 25 minutes from where I live.

Well, I'm coming from Santa Rosa which is about two hours, but it's still considered the Bay Area. We could always show parts of our hometown that share a special place in our hearts. Perhaps photos of us walking across the Golden Gate Bridge or maybe somewhere closer to you - visiting the Winchester Mystery House.

Thanks everyone! We'll hold off on deciding any details for "special sections" at the moment because we are still unsure about how many participants we will have - having many will lead to a LOT of work and a LOT of pages... and at the moment we'd rather not sign ourselves up for more than we can handle. In the meantime, however, we are of course listening to suggestions.

Heidi and I are currently in the process of deciding the design and organization of the new book, so stay tuned for more info.

Jen: I was hoping you would do it for the World Tour too

After seeing the AND one...... I am totally for another one !!

Although AND was 5 years and this is only 1 year..... it will be a bigger project coz so many more people saw her.

My suggestions:

Divide it into country sections in order as it is in the Tour

Have a group photo section at the end of each country section

At the bottom of each personal page we could have: "Our favourite Celine Moments"

I`m too tired to think about more :yawn:

OMG! I'm so IN! But it seems that when I get to put stuff in, my shows are to late to be put in the books...For AND, my show was to late for me to have pics from Vegas in it...I hope I can wait till Jan to submit mine, that way there will be pics from those nights in it. :hmm:

Kim - Just to echo what Heidi said, we will definitely wait until the end of the tour (February '09) to complete the book so that everyone can participate.

Davey - Absolutely. Heidi and I will make a new thread once we have some details figured out and submission rules outlined.

Ok, this is off the top of my head but how about a section for each country, with pictures, quotes, etc. Then every fan has their page with their story and a list of the concerts they attended in another section. Does that make sense? Probably not, I need sleep...

What I meant was having it in the same order as the Tour:

South Africa

Dubai

Japan

China

Korea

Australia etc.

It just seems logical to me mostly because many fans have been to different countries.

Davey said that he wouldn't want to write 3 different pieces, but I think the stories might have to be shorter than the last book because this project is so much bigger. You could still put the writer's home country flag next to their story like last time.

yeah that's what I meant, I mean, we can't write 3 or 4 or more different (large) stories.... putting the home country flag next to it, it a good idea though!
