LVPantsGirl Posted January 24, 2007 at 03:56 AM Posted January 24, 2007 at 03:56 AM (edited) I will just add my little two cents worth in here because I have to agree ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS in the entire show was when we all said "We love you MORE!" Sitting over in Orchestra 5 it was really a treat to be able to look over and watch all of you. I got to be up front but also see EVERYONE at the same time, which was the perfect medium for me. I'd wondered to myself weeks before if I should just sit in the rear orch and watch you all or if I should be up front to enjoy being with you all and I got the perfect mix of everything. It was hillarious, in any case, to look over at all of you and notice myself doing the exact same thing instincitvely. I can't believe we all lurched forward! I think it was Cindy and Mathias who had been joking about starting a wave. We had one there--without the flailing of our arms! LOL. Celine talks about wavelength and being on the same one with her fans-- that is a good visual that will stick in my head for that metaphor the rest of my fanhood! I believe THIS is what she said... it's a compilation of everyone's memories but as I've once been told I have a mind like a video camera... There we were and Celine sat down, as we had practiced. The audience was still loud so I waited a moment 'til they quieted down. In the mean time others had thought I had forgotten and began yelling on their own. "On T'Aime Celine" about three of us said. Some looked at one another in a slight panic and then came Paula and Cindy's unmistakable voices. "We looove you Celiiine!" Celine finally responded "I love you too" to which there was no count and I don't think even an entire second went by. This is when we all shouted to her "WE LOVE YOU MOOOORE!" leaning forward with our chests as if to give it a little more heart. She pretended to be physically blown away if it was not a genuine reflex. She fell back onto her hands, elbows extended supporting her entire upper body, eyes wide. "Well, I love you MOST! Hah! BEAT that!" she said, sitting herself back up again and extending her arm playfully as if to give us all a playful air-punch in the shoulder I thought for no more than a half a second... My mom and I have always had this contest with one another. It has always been a game since I was a little girl. She says she loves me and I try to beat her out by saying the phrase "I love you most and more infinity in all the languages." I couldn't help but add myself in there by saying infinity-- and she responded: "Don't get me started! I'm the baby in a family of fourteen kids. So when I get a chance to talk.... I TALK!" And she proceeded to her usual speech. I LOVED those moments. They were indeed very special! On another note, I do have to say, Sophoan, that she actually didn't say "Love can, love can, love can" as if she were a broken record. It was "always, always, alway.....SECURITY!" I too loved that moment and was doing it almost the entire drive home. Poor Jill had to deal with me doing that and then going into Barnev's "Feel it in your heart annnnn.... feel it in your soul an..... looove loo-oooove.... lemme hear you say yeaaaaaa-aa-aaa" I have an additional little memory from that number. As Celine was lying on the stage after having collapsed herself at the end of "I Wish" I remember she was looking in my direction, head resting on the floor. I've seen her many a time up close when she's been there preparing for those first few notes of LCMM, and I've never seen her do what she did that might and it was contagious! She and I established direct eye contact and while she was lying there, kept it with me. As she did that she had an ear to ear grin on her face and sparkles in her eyes. I could have sworn that for a minute she was giggling. After a nod to her, up she sat, facing Orchestra 4, and began singing the first playful notes of scatting. She was DEFINITELY feeling us! More memories to come... Edited January 24, 2007 at 04:05 AM by LVPantsGirl Quote

Love, Posted January 25, 2007 at 01:12 AM Author Posted January 25, 2007 at 01:12 AM (edited) Day II Journal: January 21, 2007Part I I woke up at 9:00AM but laid down to relax until 10:00AM. Throughout the night I was tossing and turning, because I was sleeping on Westin's famous Heavenly Beds. Unfortunately, the beds were overstuffed, pudgy, and there were two comforters on top of the other. I mean, I enjoyed lying on it and relaxing; but I just could not sleep. Even though I woke up at least a dozen times through the night, I felt energized upon the advent of a new day. Even more, Jose and I had lunch at a French buffet at Paris Las Vegas; which gave me a boost of energy for the day. We walked to the Bellagio, and while walking around Gucci, I felt a tug and noticed the Dutchies, Marisa, Jillian and a friend of theirs ( I apologize, I do not remember your name). We spent about 15 minutes chit-chatting about last night's experiences, and today's agenda. Marisa, Jillian, and friend were to leave soon, in time for their 6-7 hour drive back home. So, we decided to take a picture together. Suddenly, a older gentleman and his wife passed by us, and the gentleman said he would be willing to shoot us all together. I wanted to make sure all the settings on the SLR camera were optimized; so I tweaked all the settings, and manualize the focus, and shot a sample picture. Amazingly, the sample picture immortalized an extremely unique and unusual moment in time when the Dutchies, Marisa, Jillian, Jose, and friend were all doing random and candid things; looked so posed, yet was natural. Clockwise: Friend was smiling, as Marisa was suspicious of Cindy, as Cindy was close-mouthed and breathing in Vegas's fresh air, as Mathias showcased his profile doing the neck dance, while Stephanie was hot with her hair, as Jose was getting ready to the do a Russian footdance, as Jillian was marching on her knees, as Suzanne showcased her right side and enjoying the entertainment! *Sighs! I said all that in one breath! So, next I jumped in for a photograph. FLASH! and we all looked beautiful. After a very short moment of window shopping, Jose wanted to go back for a nap and TV; so we splitted and I took off for Caesar's Palace. I checked out Elton John's store. I came across a beautiful pin, engraved with glass beads on letters forming the word "LOVE." I wanted to buy a souvenir from Elton's store, and it was funny to see that about 90% of his merchandises had his trademarked phrase : "The B**** is Back." No, I'm not that. HA HA. What struck me was the beautiful red piano. Oh my goodness; as pianist, it is HOT. I have always dreamt of having either a Crystal piano or one that is neither black, nor white, nor ivory. I wanted something unique. Of course, this collector's item was $54,000; which was quite a good deal, since a standard Yamaha Grand Piano costs about $65,000. This Baby Grand was hand-signed by Sir Elton John, has a unique red enamel, etc. A man next to me in the store said, "Why don't you just get a regular piano and refinish it?" I thought in my head, "That's an option." However, it would not be the same! As I walked out of the store, I bumped into Salla and Anu; we talked briefly, because we were going to see each other in the evening, anyway. Next, I bumped into Ramona. We exchanged some information and talked briefly. She was ready to do her final interview. She surprised me even more when she told me that Koolan was among us. The goodness of her heart brought him to Vegas, and made it possible for him to see Celine in "A New Day..." and to meet-and-greet in person! Ramona told me to come back to the steps of the Colosseum at 4:00PM, and Koolan would be there. Next, I went for a visit at Louis Vuitton global store at Forum Shops. I became acquainted with a sales associate. It was nice speaking with him about some experiences with our travels, with our adventures and with our Vuittons. He told me how nice Celine is as a person and as a customer of Louis Vuitton. She visited this Louis Vuitton store many times; of course it's FRENCH! After exiting the store, I made my way to the steps, and as I asked a group of people about Koolan, I turned around, and there he was! AH! One of the MYSTERIOUS ADMINISTRATOR OF CELINE CHANNEL FORUMS! It was so nice to see a face; and not only a face, but a whole person! We smiled and talked to each other for about 15 minutes. It was brief, but very nice. Bellamy, you're NEXT! I decided to walk back to my hotel. As I walked closer and closer to the hotel; the wind speed picked up more and more. The desert wind was blowing intensely, but I just kept walking and walking. As soon as I got to the hotel, I noticed the Starbucks logo and found hope and warmth in a cup of hot Green Tea Latte. I relaxed for a bit in our hotel room, and changed outfits for the evening's concert. I wore a deep blue velvet jacket, with blue cotton pin-striped pants, a Celine Dion Foundation pin attached to one of my jacket's button holes, and a purple silk scarf given to me by a governor from my native country of Cambodia served as an ascot. We met with fellow fans at the Cypress Cafe; this time in a smaller, general area. The corner we had last night was now occupied by loud, diehard American football fans. They were absolutely excited about the playoffs! After filling our stomachs with pizza, we took off for the Colosseum. As I entered through the entrance, I noticed Jose and approached him. He had made friends with a few of the ushers and dancers from show; from a night-out from the previous evening. So, he began speaking with one of his acquaintances, who was ushering for the evening. Immediately, a crack between the double doors revealed an animated figure, prancing and dancing around, singing "I'm Alive" during her soundcheck. He peeked through it first and was instantly entertained; seeing Celine fooling around on the stage. I told him to be careful, because those doors are to be pulled for entry and pushed for exiting - someone from the inside could push it, and could injure his nose. So, as I approached to peek, I spreaded my palms out, ready any time to stop the door; meanwhile catching a quick glimpse of Celine during sound check! Jose and I got tickets for Rear Orchestra, row M: good seats to experience the show holistically; and seeing the merging and blending of colors, visuals, performers, and special effects! I sat next to a fan who had come all the way from Illinois with her husband. She revealed that the last concert she has ever been to was "The Beatles." Immediately, Jose began talking about the Beatle's tribute show produced by Dragone (called "Love," by the way). However, that wasn't she was talking about - what she said was quite shocking - the last concert she has ever been to was a Beatle's concert in 1960! She remembered every moment of it and she was a wild fifteen-year-old. She was excited for tonight's show; and she had been a Celine fan for a while. She even had a favorite song, but she could not remember the name; however, later in the evening when Celine sang it, she poked me and told me "That's It!" Before the show began, as we were talking (and talking), I told her that she would not be disappointed this evening and that it will be unforgettable. Before the show began, we had a surprise appearance by one of the greatest people in Celine's life (and of course, in many of our lives); Celine's husband, Rene Angelil. He was absolutely charming, charismatic, and humorous. He said he was not there to make any announcements of Celine not being able to perform that evening. You could notice a sigh of relief throughout the 4000 patrons. When he went to "knock on wood," he stated something funny that one would not be able to find a lot of wood in Vegas. Then he told us the director of the filming project for "A New Day...'s" DVD wanted to capture the best of the audience. So, he reminded us to smile; and that chewing gum looked really bad on camera. Then, he said he was going to pretend he was Celine and sing a few songs for us. In my head, I actually, spontaneously envisioned him singing "I'm Alive" and dancing; and prancing. Oh, where was my head? Then, he chuckled and then changed his mind. He asked us to pretend Celine Dion was singing our most favorite song and to cheer and clap for her. We failed the first time because we were not on our feet. However, the second time, the whole house was on their feet, and the Director gave an OK. The next several minutes were used for the routine of the "Audience-in-the-Frame" projection. It seemed to go on for a while; due to Celine being late this evening. However, it kept the audience entertained. Then, there was a very rude guy in the audience that stuck out his middle finger. So, the ever-entertaining camera man zoomed out to a wide angle, put his thumb and index finger in front of the lens, turning the silhouette of his fingers into a giant picker-upper, and jokingly "plucked" the guy from his seat. The crowd cheered. In a little moment, the lights dimmed, the breaks, and a new show has come. Edited January 25, 2007 at 01:14 AM by Love, Quote

Marisa showcases her thoughts on the man as she looks over to see a dreadful looking 80 year old with a cane while Christy had been checking out his.. bum. Cindy in the mean time has applied lip gloss and is smacking her lips, creating the beat of the Dutch. Mathias springs into the neck dance like a duck strutting his stuff for Sophoan and his magic camera. Stephanie in the mean time was also dancing to the beat, swinging her hair and body to the side, exuding her Marilyn Monroe side. Jose, amused but also slightly fearful of the situation had intended to stealthly crawl his way out of the photo away from we crazy fans while Jillian was intently focused on attempting to add her own lyrics to the beat box that Cindy was carrying on. Suus, being her innocent self with the heart of a child, was looking at us all, le Cirque de Celine, in sheer joy and amusement of our production. Haha... we could make so many stories from this photo. I ADORE IT. Edited January 25, 2007 at 02:12 AM by LVPantsGirl Quote
Love, Posted January 25, 2007 at 02:29 AM Author Posted January 25, 2007 at 02:29 AM (edited) YESSSS!!!!!!! ADORABLE and HUMOROUS OBSERVATIONS, Marisa! (and HELLO CHRISTY) And here is the final portion of Day 2:Please excuse any typographical errors! All was poured emotionally from my heart and my memory! January 21, 2007Portion IIby Love, Before the show, while talking with the lady next to me, I had told her about my first experience seeing Celine in 2004; and it was here in Vegas. I told her how touched and amazed I was to be the presence of the person whom I have listened to on radios and have watched on television; and have adored. I told her that "Because You Loved Me" was the only song that brought tears to my eyes during that show. A song so simple could affect me so deeply. For me, being able to cry when you are touched, shows your humanity. Seeing the show from my seat gave me new perspectives and insights on the show. There were things that I had missed during the last times I saw her LIVE, because I saw in Orchestra 4, near the stage. This evening, her vocals seemed to be cozier, warmer, and more powerful. It was maybe from the energy given by her fans last evening; maybe even the technical glitch . 1. A NEW DAY HAS COMEAs soon as the sirens begin singing the introductory phrase "A New... Day... Ahhhh Ahhhh..." I began to smile. My face lit up. My heart started beating faster. It was so good to hear this song again. I wondered why they didn't use this song ever since the beginning. However, "Nature Boy" was a great introduction, because of its emphasis on the power of love, and what love is for mankind. From my seat, I could see the powerful and emotional embodiment of together as the dancers slowly walk into Celine coming in directions like spokes of a wheel. 2. THE POWER OF LOVEOnce again, the visuals merged well. I was able to look at the stage from a distance, and see the gentlemen and their cane; and the fairy clown girls twitch and dance. A sight to behold. 3. IT'S ALL COMING BACK TO ME NOWThe beautiful palace looked more amazing from my seat than before. I was able to witness the beautiful ballet performed by the dancers. 4. BECAUSE YOU LOVED MEEVER BEAUTIFUL! 5. TO LOVE YOU MORE The clouds, the doves, the smoke, everything looked visually beautiful in this song! 6. I'M ALIVEThroughout this song, I was waiting to see whether the folks in Orchestra 4 were to do the "cool-it-down spread-your-wings " dance that Celine does at the bridge of "I'm Alive" to get the dancers to freeze... THEY DID! And I laughed! I did NOT dare do it from my seat! 7. I DROVE ALL NIGHTThis was definitely amazing to watch from a distance! STUNNING! STUNNING! STUNNING! 8. SEDUCES MEFrom a distance, you could really see all of the men rolling around, jumping, sliding. The girls behind me wouldn't stop talking..."Ooooohhhh shirtless men! Ummm! We like this!" 9. IF I COULDCeline sounded amazing in this song. As I sat forward, and put my hands under my chin to listen to honest simplicity of this song, the lady next to me poked me and said, "This is it! This is the song." I looked at her and I said, "Isn't it beautiful?" 10. POUR QUE TU M'AIMES ENCOREYou know I love this song! 11. I SURRENDERThe powerhouse song from the show. The red. The black. The white. Almost feels like going to a masquerade. This performance looks beautiful from a distance, as the flame frames the screen, and the vocal soars, it lights the fire within in our hearts as we too could experience of the power of this song. Although this song speaks of submission; the person who surrenders is powerful enough to give up. 12. AMMORE ANNASCUNNUTOBEAUTIFUL! I remember hearing Celine say "Grazie" at the end! 13. ALL THE WAYOne of the greatest love songs. "I'm gonna love you alllll the wayyyyy." 14. I'VE GOT THE WORLD ON A STRINGEver-fun! 15. I WISHNow, for this song, I WISH I was in Orchestra 4! I wanted to get up, clap and dance! I felt intimidated by where I was sitting! 16. LOVE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINSOf course, I clapped along during "I Wish," and of course, this song! 17. RIVER DEEP MOUNTAIN HIGHOH MY GOODNESS! I was floored! AGAIN! I was so struck! Tonight's performance was perfect; even better last night's because there were NO technical glitches. I did have my fingers crossed and was praying for it to be okay. It was SO AMAZING to see the gigantic lights beaming behind the dancers and Celine. It was amazing to see all of the action happening in one frame. My hands were clapping along to the beat throughout the whole song. I looked to the lady to my left and said, "That's the Tina Turner song!" I was so struck, as soon as the song ended, I jumped up and out of my seat to give her an ovation! Everyone in the audience were clapping and cheering. We were just so amazed! I WAS SO AMAZED! 18. MY HEART WILL GO ONI was so amazed that everything became more beautiful than before. As soon as the moon descended, the little ladies waddled with the giant umbrella, and the violin solo plays, I LOST IT. Pearls of tears began to stream down from my pupils. My fingers began to twiddle, and began to scratch my thigh with my index finger, and then I took my fingers to watch some tears from my eyes. I was so touched by the beauty of music; the beauty of performance. As an artist myself, I experience, I feel and I interpret things differently from those around me. As I turned to the right to wipe some tears, the lady behind me asked, "Are you okay, sir? I have one right next to me that's doing the same thing." I said, "Yes I am. Thank you." And I gave a little laugh, accompanied by a little smile. After this song, we were all on our feet. AMAZING PERFORMANCE! What a dream come true! Immediately after the show was over, I stood up, and turned to the lady next to me. She grabbed my hand, and we looked into other eyes and smiled. She was so touched by the show; so touched. I asked her husband how he felt, and he was amazed. As we talked briefly, I told her my name, and we spoked a little bit more about our amazement. Still, she held onto my hand. And immediately, I was ready to do an encore of tears. I turned behind me to talk to the girl who asked me if I was okay during the show a little while ago. I looked at her sister and she was still crying! We talked briefly, laughed, and introduced ourselves. Then, made our way out of the theatre. After the show, I walked towards the Celine Dion and bumped into Ramona and Vic (Koolan). We took pictures together. Then, I went up to Frannie the photographer, to purchase a picture that she took of Jose and me in side the Colosseum before the show. She went underground to get it for me, because she missed from last night (it was kind that she remembered me). Next were more photo-ops; with Barnev, with the rapping dancers; Elijah the dancer wrote a little note to me in the back of one of Celine's photographs. It was sad because as we were approaching Cypress Cafe, they closed! So, the Dutchies, Stephanie, Cindy, Matthias, and Suzanne decided that it was time to say "Goodbye" because they were leaving early the next morning. So, Cindy looked at me and opened up her arms to give me a big hug. I told Cindy that she was the snuggliest, huggable person during this whole trip. Then, I hugged Stephanie, then Matthias, and then Suzanne. It was emotional to see them go; but the time had come. So next, I, along with Anu, Salla, Paula, Brenda, and Jane made our to Slice. Jose was already there with a group of workers from "A New Day" and Feidhlim, in another table. Our table was next to theirs. It was quite entertaining, because we did not have enough chairs, so Brenda went over to the table on the other side of the entrance, where sat some of Celine's band members and dancers and grabbed a chair! Brave Brenda! Next, Brenda wanted a picture of the them. So did I! And so, I jumped into the picture, and said, "Pick me up!" Jane grabbed my camera and I put my arms around Yves, Celine's keyboard player, and the other guys picked me up and we all smiled (FLASH!) for an absolutely memorable photograph! Some funny moments from Slice was we were surrounded by so many smokers. The smoke seemed to be blowing in my direction, so as Jane sat in front of me, she volunteered to be our smoke screen! Bless her heart! Brenda, brave again, jokingly chucked a napkin at one of the smokers! While Brenda was gone to get herself some drinks, a woman tripped over Brenda's chair and laughed at herself. We laughed too. Then, she looked at us and said, "Hey! I won $5000!" Then, we suggested that she should go see Celine! She spoke with us briefly, and I stood up and said, "You know, because you won today, I'm going to give you a hug!" And she hugged and she smiled. Then, some guy ran over and put his hand on my shoulder, "Hey! That's my mom you're hugging! If I catch you again, I'm gonna get you!" And I said, "Nice!" He smiled back. The lady's husband also smiled at me. She talked to us even more and asked us where we came from and what we were there to do. And she just had some fun with us. Soon, Alanna and a friend appeared, and she said goodbye. I gave her a gigantic hug! We later upgraded ourselves when I noticed an empty table that was elevated and on the other side. So, we moved over. I had only two drinks this evening: Both Coca Colas! HA HA! We had such a blast. We spoke about our fun time together, and about all sorts of things! I don't remember in detail! However, I do remember: Anu, Salla, Paula, Brenda, Jane, and I - we were SMILING! Around 2:00AM, we had to say goodbye to each other! BIG HUGS and KISSES! Farewell friends! As I was making my exit, some of the folks from Jose's table talked to me, and we got briefly acquainted, before I rushed back to my hotel room. When I got back to my room, I stayed up until 3:00AM looking, cropping, and optimizing the photographs from the trip. I inserted "The Colour of My Love" into the room's CD player, and fell asleep to "The Next Plane Out." Edited January 25, 2007 at 02:32 AM by Love, Quote
