Questions about the unreleased ABM video

someone could email the photographer and ask him when and what she was doing while this shoot happened?

I don't think they're fake, either, Enzo. If you think about it every single from FIY had a proper video. Or at least the first three singles did - till Sony decided to ABANDON the album almost at the height of its success (which is just disgraceful of Sony). This was at the time when they stole the Je Sais Pas video and put it into Call The Man single which flopped - but flopped only cuzz Sony had abandoned Céline already at that time.

 

Now without Sony's support they might have recorded a video to ABM but perhaps not finished it cuzz there was no support from the label or just cuzz Céline herself didn't want it.

 

Also you have to consider that "Because You Loved Me" wasn't supposed to happen. She recorded the song 2 months prior to the movie release. It was a last minute addition. So my guess is that they have recorded the first video to ABM right after "Falling Into You" but then as they decided to release the Eric Carmen classic from Céline's CD they needed a video to it... a proper one not the one they put together around the release of the album in March.

 

FIY + ABM + IACBTMN = were meant to be the singles but the release of Up Close & Personal messed things up.

Now I can say I agree. The first one is the "rushed" one the one we have featuring FIY photoshoot + Céline lipsync + LAP footage, then they wanted to do a proper video in July 1996, but it never happened to be released. So, they decided to make a Christmas version of the video and later the Live In Montreal performance (or viceversa). I just said fake 'cause it was impossible it would have been the first version of the video, because of the look. That's all.

Well, I never said it was "first". hihi

 

One addition concerning the FIY videos... She's recorded FIY in February, BYLM in March and IACBTM in July. So the footage for the actual ABM video has been recorded around the same time as the LIVE video from the Montreal concert.So she's been recording the IACBTM video plus the ABM video at the same time. It may be that they didn't have that much budget for both as they were done both at almost at the same time and they decided to ditch the less bombastic one...

I have seen those pics before, but I had no idea they were from a taped but never released ABM video! It would be really interesting to see Celine playing the piano!

Why are they doing this? These kind of videos seem to pile up (along with the tons of recorded but unreleased songs) and sooner or later they'll have to release them! Say, as a gift to the fans...

i DON'T want to see Celine playing the piano...and i actually like the ABM video we have.i think it serves its purpose just fine.I also don't see why Call the man would become a hit.The album deserved more singles but i don't think Call the man should be one

 

(about the ABM video i think the part 2:30-end kinda sucks, but i like till 2:30.some more passionate shots with colour recorded just for the video from 2:30-end would make it a great video for me)
