Questions about the unreleased ABM video

What happened the video concept was ditched? I mean they had already a concept and they even recorded some parts but in the end they used either the live performance from Montreal 96 or the lifeless and uninspired FIY shooting sessions/D'eux tour fragments/Céline studio shots.

 

I mean they had it all and the pics we have from the set were so AMAZING. But of course they had to release some second class junk. This song screamed for a good video clip and from what we have seen it should have been truly something AWESOME and appropriate.

 

It has featured Céline playing piano in an empty theater. Was it by any chance Céline's decision not to release it just cuzz she was so insecure about herself?

They have been posted in the gallery I while ago. It says Gérard Pullicino was to direct the video, he's the one who directed Au Coeur Du Stade video.

 

I guess we'll never know why it wasn't released, just like I Want You To Need Me.

She indeed recorded a proper videoclip for All By Myself. From what we can see here it must have strong meaning for Céline herself but somewhat it didn't work out. The Dion vault is truly tightly closed and I bet we have not seen many things yet.

Why are they doing this? These kind of videos seem to pile up (along with the tons of recorded but unreleased songs) and sooner or later they'll have to release them! Say, as a gift to the fans...

I've never known such an artist who films so many things and never releases them (LTAL tour, Phil Spector recordings etc) as Celine! It's crazy!

With these images "All By Myself" would be a good video. But for some reason Sony wants Celine's videos to be terrible...

 

They censored ABM, they censored IWYTNM, BUT they released the stupid "I'm Alive" video...

It couldn't be before the short-hair MV we all know, where she lipsync (Fall 1996 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE0KgPBTJmo). The pics you posted are from early 1997. They don't look like early 1997 at all. Look at Live In Memphis or the French New Year Show with Alain Delon - her hair was much longer in early 1997.

A bit longer than in IACBTMN MV. Live in Memphis is dated March 1997, so the pics could be from January 1997 or maybe the very end of 1996. Surely after the first ABM MV. In ABM MV she had copper hair. Then she turned blond like the pics posted by siur.

Even if it's July 1996, it can't be the first version of the ABM MV, because the actual first video features Céline with shorter and copper hair like in May 1996 for World Music Awards.

Maybe Sony wanted her to make a MV later. So it would have been the second version, not the first one.
