'Live in Memphis' - Official Topic

great news, can't wait for both dvds. especially the concert in Memphis, because I love it. I have it on VHS but I would like to have it on DVD. let's hope best image/sound quality and some extras as well. let's keep our fingers crossed.

I've heard from several sources that the DVD with Live in Memphis is planned to be released this year That would be great! Have you heard of of?

Apparently it is being released...which I don't really understand. Why release it all this time after? I would have much preferred a DVD release of one of her LTAL concerts in English speaking countries. We'll never have that. Quite bizarre.

i agree with stevo. i would have loved to have a dvd released of the LTAL concert in Chicargo! she looked and sounded amazing that night....well from the pictures and mp3s i have seen. OR they could FINALLY release the millenium concert!

That would be really great! I have the concert but in pretty bad quality (if you compare it to DVD) and I'd love to make mp3-s of it. As I did with all the concerts she performed and recorded on DVD. And I really like the Live in Memphis show. She gives a great performance. Esp I like Twist and shout song:) it's too bad it's so short:/

Well I have never seen that concert and I would love to see it though. Where can I find it?? Do you have it?

 

And about concert Live in Memphis is a very good performance. First of all she's singing live. For example I didn't like The colour of my love concert, most of the songs were played with playback. And I like to listen to her live. Playback I have everyday on her albums:)

LAP was also re-released on DVD..

It's common to release stuff that was on VHS on DVD..this was just bound to happen..

No way. She sounds like in a records. Maybe the band was playing but was she singing live?

there are a few tracks where celine was not singing live the worst one that comes to mind for me was refuse to dance that was a play back lol

Yeah, that's what I mean. I know that some of tracks she sang live but still I don't like when the artist uses playback. Esp when they can sing and Celine certailny can.

I have "Live in Memphis" on VHS but of course I'd love to have it on DVD - the quality would be better and the DVDs do not get damaged if you play them often!

 

And it's just a sign of the time to release the stuff using newer technologies, on moderner devices!

 

As for "Millenium concert" - I doubt it will be ever released officially. We've already got several discussions on this subject: Céline herself wasn't satified with her performance that night and that's the reason why we may never see this one on official DVD... but who knows?

 

Insted of this, they could really release some other show from LATL tour or even FIY tour! i love "Live in Columbus", that would be such a great thing to have it officially released in a good quality!

 

And, last but not leaat: I still hope they will release the "Unison" concert on DVD!! I'm waiting for this for sooooo long already!!! My VHS with this concert is not that good quality anymore... and on the DVD they could add some previously unreleased extras - for example some other specials from "Unison"/"incognito" times.... Wow, I'm dying to get such a DVD!!!!.....

for millenium concert they should release it long time ago cause it's important event i know Celine wasn't in top shape at all and not really satisfy with it but it's important.

Céline herself thinks that.. that's why she stopped it from being released..

But you know. For a big fan it really wouldn' matter if she was looking bad or even horrible. For me what is important is how she's singing, what does she do, what does she say. And really I think that her look on The Millenium Concert is one of the best looks she can have. F.ex. I didn't like her blond hair while Live in LV, and MC is really fine:) But of course it's her decision to make;)
