I put Aint Gonna Look The Other Way but could happily have chosen any of them!! Particularly Cherche Encore and I Surrender - they would have been HUGE hits!! :doh:

Refuse To Dance and Make You Happy were supposed to be singles. Sony killed them off cuzz Céline had to work on her follow-up projects. Make You Happy has been even remixed already but its raegge remixes won't surely ever see the light of day.

I read it long long long ago on a Celine usenet group, but recently on a Whitney board a member brought this up and I remembered it again. They simply didn't want take any chances with her back then cuzz sure success was already planned and it payed off! 20 million albums! A huge accomplishments anyway. ^_^

I picked "I Surrender"... but honestly I think it makes a difference in which country you're talking about.

 

In 2002/2003, I Surrender could have been a HUGE Adult Contemporary hit in the United States. Pop/Top 40 radio probably would have still ignored it, just as they have done with most of Celine's music since TTWII.

 

As for Canada or Europe - I Surrender probably could have done even better (though that's just a guess really!)

I do agree with quite a few of you that they should have released "I surrender" as a single at the time the album came out. Although I don't believe it would have been as successful here in the uk than "I'm alive". The one song I wish they would release (either on an album or as a single) is "Would I know" :clap:

I voted for "If walls could talk".

I have always thought it would have been a great sucess if realeased.

 

Besides that, I believe most of you voted for "I surrender" because you have the "A new day...live in las vegas" DVD effect. I mean, it's an amazing song, but I doubt it'll go number one on this poll if it wasn't for the Vegas show. My opinion
