Go To Vegas Jan 17-21 2007

Hey guys!

 

You all know about the DVD being taped the 17th through the 21st of January 2007......

 

Well, you know she is going to need an awesome audience to make the DVD even more magical. She plays off of the energy that the audience gives her.

 

 

 

When the Convention team and I were pressing for a January date, this is why (The DVD taping). Recently we have declined holding the convention in January and will be holding it at the end of the year 2007, as close to the last show as permitted.

 

However, because it is such a big deal and because so many people are anticipating the DVD, I wanted to know:

 

 

How many of you could and would like to meet up in Vegas and purchase tickets to the shows between the 17th and 21st of January?

 

Of course this would not be affiliated with the convention at all but it would be a really great thing to go. We go, be a great audience, be a part of the experience, be a part of the DVD we are all looking forward to owning, and as a bonus, we get to meet each other.

 

Let me know what you think. I just think it would be great. I'm aiming for a group of 250 fans. Anything more is spectacular and anything less is a great shot! Lat's make this DVD!!!!!

No, we haven't known all along about the DVD precisely. BUt we did, indeed, have a hunch.

 

 

 

We were asked to do the convention in January and because I've been in touch, I knew there was something that was important to them going on in January.

 

The Convention team and I were pushing the January date based on the fact that we knew there had to be something going on for them to ask us to do the convention in such a short amount of time and so much sooner than was originally anticipated. We had good faith in Feeling's reasoning and didn't want to question it.

 

Recently, during a conversation with my contact, after having taken into consideration that all of the fans wanted to go to the last show (as was the original plan) and also discussng numerous team members' points-of-view, we opted not to do the convention in January and discussed this on the phone. I voiced that we really wanted a convention date as close to the last show as possible.

 

I was contacted Tuesday and we discussed a few things including that the DVD was to be shot in January and that is why they had wanted the convention to he held at that point in time. They wanted to be able to provide Celine with a great audience and to capture it on video and they knew that our convention would be a great opportunity.

 

They understood, however, our reason not to accept but I did want to help out. We all know how big an impact a great audience can have..... so that's why I offered my help in attempting to get some fans together.

 

Hopefully we can help out, eh!?

 

 

In any case, the convention will be held as near to the end of Celine's run in Vegas as possisble...

Marisa, did they tell you that the taping will be for more than one concert?

 

I know that they gave a date range because the contracts for the filming is probably still have a lot of tentative ideas and are subject to change... (maybe this might be "pushing the envelope" a bit)... but is there any way you could ask to see if there are "for sure" dates?

 

This Friday is the day to order tickets, and I really want to choose the right evening!

Hi, Joy!

 

I am pretty sure that the show will be taped more than one evening. There is no way that they could get all the angles that they want to choose from if they were to only shoot with one day, right?

 

If they shoot over a number of days, they're going to have more angles and a wider variety of shots to create the final cut, which will turn out better.

 

In any case, everything will be revealed when it is meant to be.

Well I've changed my plans. I was going to go to the New Years concert but I couldn't afford to go to that and more shows in January. So I thought January would be better all round because hotels etc will have a more realistic price range again.

 

So my question is, what dates shall we aim for? I'd really hate to end up with a ticket on the day they aren't filming. We need to try and decide this asap seeing as the tickets go on sale on Friday.

 

Shall we organise a meal or something before one of the shows? If anyone needs any help booking things - I'm willing to help out. Heck - I'm practically a travel agent these days, and if working for an airline doesn't help you to be organised - I don't what will!!

 

If anyone is coming from the UK send me a message, I can give you flight info and travel tips!

also...

 

they do tape the DVD on more than one night...they tape it for the entire week, so they can put together the best moments...like how they combined ACDS from both nights

I think we should go ahead and make an executive decision and choose one date that we would all plan to see the same show and book tickets for that night. That way we make sure that we can provide a pretty good audience for at least one night. I say we take the date in the middle of the 5 days to make extra sure. So the 19th.

 

What do you say?

The 19th sounds alright.

 

But you know... I feel that one of the more possible dates is the 17th, because that's Celine's first night after her two-day break.

Also, I don't know if anyone is interested in this part specifically but:

 

If there are people who are not bringing family members or are coming as singles then maybe if you're all comfortable we might be able to book hotel rooms in groups of four so it will lower the cost for everyone.

 

Just an idea for people who want to save a little more money.

 

Otherwise family members and friends who want to come would be a big help. We can get them all up on their feet and double the effect. Yay.
