Hi everyone! According to Michel Dion in interview on TVA (Quebec), only 4 songs of the Taking Chances album will be part of the World Tour:

Alone

Eyes One Me

 

It gets weirder every day. Does she even remember that she has recorded other songs besides these 3 average songs for TC? Come on Celine, grab your new album, put it in your CD player and listen to it longer than just 10 minutes! I can't belive it! Someone please put her back to the ground! I get the feeling she and her team lost the feeling what the fans expect her to sing! If we want to hear those 3 songs we can watch her promo shows over and over. I haven't paid over 220 Euros to hear only TC, A and EOM and TJTWIM unfortunately won't be sung at every concert!

This is complete rubbish!!! Only 2 dancers on stage and potentially only 4 songs from the new album. It is clear that they DO NOT want to change musical direction (CFTF could be awesome at a concert!) What's more, I thought concerts were meant to boost album sales (Taking Chances world tour, anybody???)

 

My predictions: EOM will be released in Europe, Alone in the States and maybe a third single and that's it! This CD will not get a long promo (and we should not be surprised given Sony's track record).

 

Everyday I loose more in more interest and I have been a fan forever. No wonder the geneal public thinks of her as a has-been...

- Seul les chansons "Taking Chances", "Alone", "Eyes On Me" et "That's just the Woman In Me" issues de l'album "Taking Chances" feront parti de la tournée.

 

- La Chanson "All By Myself" sera ajoutée au spectacle dans les pays que Celine n'a jamais visité (Afrique du Sud, Corée du Sud,Dubai, Qatar...)

 

- La chanson "Think Twince" devrait être ajouté spécialement pour le spectacle en Angleterre.

 

- Michel Dion restera régisseur de Celine pendant la tournée

 

- La scène est déjà montée ainsi que les arrangements technique sont terminées dans le hangar de Las Vegas.

 

- Celine débutera les répétitions ce mercredi avec Jamie King (metteur en scene)

 

- Seul 2 danseurs ont été retenus (contrairement au 8 annoncés à la base)

In my humble opinion: they did pick the 4 songs I would love to see live the most... And with the risk of being declared crazy: I would like for her to do some oldies, not the onces we have heard millions of times before, but some songs she did not perform in concert already... And Think Twice live in concert is always a song that can make the crowd go wild. I LOVE THAT! Am rehearsing my NO NO NO NO already! Sorry, but I like the news! Add some songs from D'elles to it and my night would be complete!

Since this tour is kinda the last big tour, it's only logical that celine would focus on her hits. However, what surprise me the most is that celine said that she was going on tour because she had such a great album that she needed to hit the road and promote it. So, I don't understand why is she only singing 3 songs from taking chances. Is she doing the tour just for the money?

She didn't say that... she said she will be "HELPED" for some parts of the song lol

 

She actually did 6 songs from LTAL, and also performed a couple of other songs once or twice.

Why is she leaving out all of those great songs from TC?? Imagine what a great opener SOL would be, with the heart beat starting out softly and getting stronger. They could have made a cool intro with that song!

 

She has some great older songs she's never done, but do we honestly think she's going to peform those over songs from her new English album? Doubtful... Its probably gonna be the same old, same old with those 4 new songs.

I'm one of the few who apparently doesn't care that she might sing her same songs on tour. As long as she doesn't include any of the Vegas songs like If I Could, I Wish, All the Way. I don't want her to sing LCMM either.

 

My number one concern is that she SINGS LIVE. I swear to god I will be SO PISSED if I wait an entire year to see her and all I get are the same HORRIBLE live playback tracks of TPOL, MHWGO, I Surrender, TLYM (this playback track is amazing actually), IACBTM, and IDAN. My blood is boiling right now just thinking of the possibility. I want to hear live songs. If it means singing a less amount of songs so be it, or if at the very least she re-records those playback tracks but I can't listen to them anymore after hearing the Vegas show so many times.

 

And so help her god if she sings the 19 second live version of Alone she's been pulling lately. Sing the entire version or hell hath no fury like a Celine fan jipped. (like I could even be mad at her for anything anway, but it sounds serious enough )

 

I don't want any "halfassing" on this tour. She made the commitment and she needs to follow through, I don't want any lazy singing, over use of playback, or crappy setlists. It will be the last time to see her on tour in a very long time I imagine and I want to have the best experience of my life!

onl 4 new songs? That's a joke. The whole point is to promote the album and show a new side to her. Of course she will do old stuff as well. There should be AT LEAST 6 songs from the new album. Otherwise its for the money and NOTHING to do with the fans who have supported her and bought the new album.

 

I would have expected a fair amount live the LTAL tour had TR, THLAL, IMM, TH, MHWGO, LTAL - 6 SONGS

It's the "Taking Chances" world tour therefore, in my opinion, the whole focus of the show should be on material from "Taking Chances." Of course everyone going to the show expects to hear MHWGO, BYLM etc etc but having bought a ticket to the "Taking Chances World Tour" we'd also expect to hear a substantial amount of songs from that album too.

 

Moreover I sincerely hope Celine and her creative team try something new and don't give us tired repeats of songs from Las Vegas, i'm talking "If I Could", "I've Got The World On A String", "I Wish" and so on. Give us something new.

Easy on the uneducated opinions there, buddy! This is like my favorite track on the entire CD! So don't be too fast to judge everybody's preferences according to your own taste, or lack thereof.

Last week one of the band members told me she'd be doing at least 6 songs or so from Taking Chances. Personally, I seriously doubt she'd be doing any of the songs she's done specifically for Vegas. Songs like

"I Wish" & "I've Got The World On A String" were set up for that show and work well there so she won't be

bringing them on tour - these are more visual type songs where the huge screen and stage are effective.

 

I think she'll do a medley of some hits instead of full songs.

Yeah I guess but I always considered that the S'ill Suffisait D'aimer tour - cos it was. Just like I will consider the Taking Chances French shows to be the D'elles tour
