A lot of people ask me who Celine's husband is... And so I tell them. And then they ask how old he is.. I tell them that my brain is disfunctional math-wise and I just say he's sixty-something... And then they start making a big deal out of it, talking about how inappropriate their age difference is... Clearly, these people have NO idea what love truly is. Maybe they have their own opinions. But they should learn to respect other people's choices.

 

So.. Does anyone have anymore unlovable people who say stuff like that?

Yeah, I hear that about Celine a lot too... how Rene's too old for her and junk. I never hear anything about Catherine Zeta Jones being with Michael Douglas or Larry King with his young twins and young wife. I really don't see the big deal. I think people can see how happy Celine and Rene are, how really in love they are, and they're just jealous so they make rude comments. I mean, you could be blind and still feel the love that Celine and Rene have for each other! It's just nonsense, these people who make their snide comments. I try to brush them off. The "all for the money" reason, I've heard it too, many times! But, my response to the people saying that was: You can say that, only because you don't know... that Celine is with Rene since she was 12... that all began with a simple admiration, and then love hit both of them.... If it was all for the money, I think Celine wouldn't be with him today... she has made so many millions... and then, why to get pregnant with a Rene's baby?... and to be more precise, why to "try" to get pregnant with in vitro fertilisation?

I hear it all the time! I tell them that i doesn't matter to them about the age difference because they are soulmates...as Celine says, "They are ONE." They are completely in love and others just don't understand because they don't "know" them like we do. But like the others have said, you just have to deal with it and not care what others say. Obviously, that's what Celine and Rene do.

oh yes, I hear that a lot from my friends and especially my godmother... She always wants to persuade me that René and Céline are only together because of the money. Maybe she should have a look at some pictures or videos from Céline together with René.

But I have to admit, when I read the first time about them being married and about their age difference, I was "oh my goodness", but now... I think they are so cute together and I can't imagine Céline being with someone else than him.

I've had people comment to me about that too. I think after a while, most people get over it, though. It doesn't make sense that it would be about money, anyway. They didn't have that much at all when everything started. They've been together for over 20 years now, they're obviously in love and have made each other very happy for a long time. They don't care what people think, so why should we worry? I think all love is beautiful.

My sister is 28 and her husband is 49- that's a year younger than my Mum and 2 years younger than Dad. It sometimes seems weird if you really think about it- but you can't choose who you love. And most of the time you wouldn't even think about it.

 

I sometimes wish Celine was with a young hot stud...but her and Rene seem to just suit each other so perfectly.
