Katherine & Meatloaf sing Celine

Hey Guys,

 

Just sitting here watching the season finale of AI, and Katharine McPhee sang IACBTMN with Meatloaf. It was alright, they definitely made it their own, but DEFINITELY not anywhere close to Celine! What do you guys think of it for those who watched?

Tonight on the American Idol finale the idols are singing with some of their idols and Katherine sang with Meatloaf. They sang a Celine song, but by now I've forgotten which one. (I think it was It's All Coming Back To Me Now, but I can't remember).

 

Either way it was definately one of the most disturbing things I've seen on Idol. Check it out if it hasn't aired yet by you.

It was IACBTMN. I thought they did an alright job in singing that song.

Nobody sing it like Celine.

It was to see a song of Celine's performed on American Idol!

yah i saw it.. & sorry but their version totally sucked, of course u can't compare anyone to celine, but they changed the arrangment & everything & it sounded horrible!

Not a Taylor fan? I was from the beginning, and I am glad that he won. Katharine is good and eveything, but just another Kelly or Carrie...it's time for a change, so I am very happy Taylor is the AI!

Nah... I wanted Kelly Pickler to win, (or Chris). I still can't believe that THEY got voted off. Anyways, no matter who wins the futurer AI's, I think Carrie will ALWAYS rule!! She's soooo, totally, 100% amazing! I love her!

Katherine would've done better doing the solo Celine version! Meatloaf was just . I voted for Katherine, it doesn't matter since they both got record contracts. I used to like Taylor, but then he just got on my nerves with his whole "Soul Patrol" phrase.

this season proved my physolospy about this show. It is a big joke and this Taylor guy is a big joke. Or the American people are completely stupid and in desprerate need of entertainment.

katharine was excellent...meatloaf was scary. it would have been better if she sang it alone.

I though the performance was just weird. Kat doesn't sing as good as Celine, Meatloaf creeps me out a little, i didn't like the arrangement change, so on a whole THUMBS DOWN and kinda funny attempt

 

I was excited to see David there lol, although I guess it's not too surprising since he was on that week with Andrea Bocelli.

 

I liked both Kat and Taylor, I'm glad Taylor won though because he's different. My favorites were Chris and Paris though

I'm watching the last half of the show right now. So far, the funniest part for me was when Clay Aiken snuck up on his impersonator on "Don't Let the Sun Fall Down on Me"

their version of IACBTMN was actually interesting , they changed the arrangments and the keys cause it's impossible for them to sing this song in celine's key : and OMG meatloaf cant sing anymore

 

i too think that taylor sucks big time and this entire season is the worst one til now...katharine is a good singer but again , something was just missing this year.

We also have American Idol in France, called "Nouvelle star". Last week, Christophe (I bet he'll be the winnder, this man is just amazing!) sang My heart will go on, so I thought I'd share it with you. Here it is :

His english sucks but I think he sings really well. Of course it has nothing to do with Céline, but he sang it with hys "style" and I really like it! He also sang Staying alive, New York New York, and many others... Yesterday he sang "Memory" From Streisand, I just LOVED it! For those who'd like to hear it... Memory

im glad Taylor won cuz Katharine annoyed the crap outta me. She wasn't as good as everyone made her out to be. Ever since she sang THE VOICE WITHIN and the judges actually compared her as being as good as Christina Aguilera, i've hated her because she totally butchered the song and didn't even come close to Christina. I'm glad Taylor won because I think he worked VERY hard and I think out of the 2 finalists he deserved it and appreciated it more. However it should have come down to Chris and Mandisa...Mandisa was voted off WAY too early

I watched the performance yesterday and oh my goodness . I hope Celine wasn't watching because that was the worst thing I ever heard. Even my brother thinks Celine does a better job and he hates her.
