The Moment of a Lifetime

Hey Guys, just got back from Vegas today. I missed my flight last night, and it was really a mess! Yuck...anyway I started typing up about my time in Vegas and my time with Celine, I WILL NEVER FORGET IT! I hope you enjoy it. I still have to figure out how to get my photos with Celine though. They have a photographer there to take the pics, I am just not sure when/how I will get them...I'll have to find a way! Anyway, this is most of it. I hope you enjoy, I know that I did. I love Celine today more than every before!

 

OMG…where do I start? Vegas, summing it up in one word, or rather the Celine experience in one word, actually four, would have to be OUT OF THIS WORLD! Where do I even begin to talk about my experience? I guess I should start from the beginning! My sister and I flew out to Vegas late on Thursday night and arrived to Caesars Palace at about 11:30pm. We were excited to be in Vegas, not to mention, the first time driving by the Colleseum was totally amazing! But we were ready for bed. Our room was in the Forum Tower, appeared to be an average room, but was nice none the less. However, I knew that I wasn’t put in this room by accident once I opened up the curtains. Low and behold what did my view consist of? THE COLLESEUM!!! I was able to look right down at it. So much fun!

 

We slept in Friday morning. Got up took our showers and were ready to explore the Strip. Today was a big day though! I was finally going to meet my idol after all these years. My sister and I went out to eat at Dennys for breakfast, was pretty enjoyable! Then we walked around the Venetian and saw the gondolas, which was really neat. Then we crossed the street and went to the Mirage and we checked out the white tiger, and I was able to get some pretty good pictures of it! The whole day I was nervous though. If I thought about meeting Celine, my stomach would get a little upset just thinking about it!

 

I ventured into the Celine boutique for the first time. Man, there is some amazing stuff in there. My sister just had a seat in the corner while I did my shopping and spent way over my $100 credit that I had won from the contest. Of course I got the Celine frog, AND program, Always Belong, the sliver necklace of Celine and the bookmark, a poster, a bib for my sister (she’s pregnant), and of course the Celine blanket!

 

My sister and I hung out by the pool for a little bit which was a lot of fun, but a little busy. After that, we went back up to the room and watched a little TV, then it was time to get ready for the big night. I put on my special Celine dress that I had purchased just for this occasion. At about 5:00 my sister and I met up with a friend of mine and had dinner at Chinois, the Chinese Fusion restaurant of Wolfgang Puck. I ordered Sesame Chicken, and it was really good. After dinner, we had some time to kill, so we headed back up to the room to show it to my friend and hang out a little bit, and get nervous thinking what the next few hours would hold.

 

I was supposed to meet my contact person by the box office. I was getting nervous and had to sit down. Finally, she came out and so did Patrick. Now I have seen pictures of Patrick before, but I had never seen him in person and man, all that kept going through my head was that wow, he looks just like his dad! He was very nice and helped to escort us to the green room for the meet and greets. While going through one of the hallways, I spotted Michel in his office, his back was turned towards me, but you can’t miss that grey-haired ponytail! It was cool down in the meet and greet room, orange walls and Miracle photos all over the place, very nice décor. I had my gifts for Celine all ready to go. I had the stuffed frog that I got her as well as a little notebook of well wishes from fans all over the world.

 

Unfortunately, it was a BUSY night for Celine, and I was just going to pretty much have enough time to take pictures and that was it. No autographs or anything, but I was able to leave my book, For Keeps behind and I will hopefully get it signed back to me. There were probably four or five groups of people waiting for their chance with Celine. We were waiting, and FINALLY there she was. I didn’t believe that it was her. She looked just like a wax statue to me, yet she moved and talked. I was the second person to get my pictures taken, and as soon as I started walking towards Celine, I lost all composure. I just let the rivers flow, I couldn’t help it because it was such and emotional moment for me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would have a chance to meet my idol of more than ten years! Celine was so sweet to me, but it still didn’t stop me from crying. She said, “Oh don’t cry sweetie, it’s okay”. I gave her the stuffed frog and she said “How cute”, but I got the impression that she thought it was mine and I just took it along with me. I told her, “No, this is for you!” and she was all excited, showing it to everybody and saying how cute it was. Then her and I took two pictures together with the frog, and then two more with my sister. I also gave her the book of well wishes, but had a really hard time spitting out what I was trying to say. I got the point across and she asked if I was supposed to be at the shows the week before that had gotten canceled, I told her no. She liked the book and also asked me if I was going to be at the show tonight and I told her I was and I said “and tomorrow nights too!” That was about it. I was still crying at this time and was surprised that I could really say much of anything to her. She was so amazingly sweet, but I knew that she was always that way. Then my time was over, unfortunately, and as the next group came up she said “Now you’re not going to cry too are you?”

 

After that, we went back up to find our seats. Front row baby, and I decided to take seat 405 for good luck, what would it hurt right? The camera was zooming in on people in the audience for a little bit, that is always fun to see the people who are caught off guard by it. Then, it got dark and the break of the glass!!! WOW amazing…A new day ahhhhahhh….A new day ahhhhahhh….her voice was so crisp and pure, you would have never had known that she was sick the week before. When I saw the opening song and she was really small on the screen and coming down the steps, the only thought in my mind was that she was and angel coming down from heaven! She was amazing this night and IIC was in the show, so I was very happy about that. I love that song so much. I was totally enjoying Seduces Me, I knew the thing about the chair, but I didn’t know that all the male dancers were there with their shirts off. WOW!!! It was a great part of the show! Celine did do a pretty long speech about being sick and having to cancel the shows. She felt so terrible, and you knew that she was heartbroken over doing it. She said the what’s worst than doing a show is to not do one. She talked about it being 8:00 and then 8:30 and not feeling well at all and very dizzy. She said that she didn’t want to do the show like that and end up breaking her neck and have to be out for six months! She asked the audience if anybody was supposed to be there for the cancelled shows and she apologized again. She talked about how she had some blood work done and it was discovered that she had the viral labryinthtis and that there were not medications to help, she just needed to rest. She said that her doctor said it could last 1 week to 1 year! Thank goodness she was back. She talked about how she was walking more to her right side and said, oh talking a walk on the wild side! It was all so good. The show totally amazed me and front row was amazing. I sang along with every song and clapped and got up and tried to dance and all that fun stuff. I wanted Celine to notice me! However, it felt like she never really looked down at me, more like she was looking out at the audience and not down at the first few rows. Unfortunately the show came to an end all to soon. I had my eye on the rose. The entire time Elijah was holding onto it, but I didn’t want to get my hopes up that I would be the one to receive it. Well, Celine bowed with everybody on the stage, and came down with the rose, heading straight for me!!!! I could not believe it, she gave ME the rose! Two times in one night, I got to hug Celine! Well, actually when I got the rose, I gave her a kiss on the cheek and I left a lipstick mark!!!! It was so amazing! After the show, I was waiting by the boutique with my sister to meet up with my friend after the show. Well, I got so many people noticing me with the rose, asking me if I knew Celine (I guess technically I do now!) it was crazy. Way to get a lot of attention!

BTW, here we solved the mistery: she said the doctor told her that the illness COULD last in one year, but it didn't happen to her 'cause it lasted in one week. Right?
