unicorn Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:52 PM Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:52 PM HiI read somewhere that theese songs were wrote for Celine.1.There you`ll be-this song was wrote for Celine, but she was retired in `99 and that`s why Faith sang the song.2.From this moment on-I heard that Shania said that she wrote the song for Celine, but she changed her mind, and finally she sang for her own album.I want to know that theese facts are true or not.How do u know? VanMerlin Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:54 PM Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:54 PM I've heard the same thing about Shania's song. Shania didn't think she had the voice to do the song justice. I'm not sure why that changed, but I think I did hear of it from a bio or some such thing. Quote
thevoice Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:57 PM Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:57 PM (edited) yeahh it's a well known fact about "there u'll be" . about "from this moment" - it makes sense cause shania and her husband already gave celine few songs and shania even did background vocals in 2...other than that - shania thinks celine is the best vocalist ever so it's no suprise she wanted celine to sing this song too. Bellamy Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:59 PM Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:59 PM Those are true. Shania had said about that many times. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
Céline's Blues Posted April 27, 2006 at 04:02 PM Posted April 27, 2006 at 04:02 PM I never knew about these. Then again both are nice songs but please, I dare to say Céline needs to cover some Leonard Cohen songs and not sing such (granted nice) cheese. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

CSCfan Posted April 27, 2006 at 04:06 PM Posted April 27, 2006 at 04:06 PM Yes, Shania wasn't confident she could sing that song and wrote it for Celine..even though it was a very personal song (about her parents). But being the man/husband/producer/writer that he is, Mutt convinced her to at least try and sing the song herself once.. In the end they were happy about it and Shania sang it herself.. And yeah, both songs sound like Celine songs.. I mean that high note in 'There You'll Be'.. no way can Faith reach it (live), especially now.. I really hope Celine will sing/cover at least one of those 2 songs in the future.. I think I just lost all faith in you...as shivers of terror slink down my spine.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Oh, yesh yesh yeshhhh! He himself admitted on many occasions he doesn't have a voice and he's always glad his songs are sung by others. A feminine voice can work wonders especially on his masterpieces - look at Tori's interpretations of his "Famous Blue Raincoat". It's heartbreaking. Or imagine Céline's vocals on "Dance Me To The End Of Love", "Nobody Knows" or "A Thousand Kisses Deep". No need to fear, MErlin, she would bring it, it'd be absolutely mesmerizing. <3 Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
