Why do so many Celine fans.

I wanna ask you fans of Celine why do so many of you hate or despise Mariah Carey i´m just wondering what is so terrible about her.

 

Mariah has one of the greatest voices on the planet a 5 Octave range and she is able to sing all the notes from the piano in the so called whistlerange. (That means Mariah can cover 8 Octaves.)

 

In the 90´s Mariah was the biggest selling female artist in recording history and by the end of 1999 she had sold over 150.Million albums worldwide and earned stunning 14 number#1, singles.

Mariah has co-written-Produced-Arranged all her songs from the age of 20-present.

The few songs she has covered are etc.

Without You, Open Arms, Bringin On The Heartbreak to name a few.

 

I dónt understand why so many Fans of Celine hate Mariah i love them both very much and Mariah has been through hell and she rised up again like a phoenix from the ashes year ago and not many can, But she could do it by herself and god helped her i believe he did.

 

I can be honest and say i don´t like all the songs-albums Mariah has done and she acts sometimes childiss and dresses in shorts-skirts. But i love her anyway.

 

To date Mariah has sold over 185.million albums worldwide and earned stunning 17 number#1,s more than any other female artist in history.

 

Is it because Mariah sounds to urban-RN,B or how she looks like,,, What is it. I can´t understand.

Why? Simply because Celine fans compare othe female singers that are in the same league.. Mariah has changed a lot from how she was in the beginning to now.. and many people (not just Celine fans) thinks that her transformation is from good to horrible.

Yes, Mariah has written some very sweet songs all by herself and I give her credit for that, but.. i don't know what to say.. I'm sure somebody else can fill in...

I have her #1's and it was the best album of hits that has been put out there thus far. My favourite song from that album is Fantasy. I LOVE it. I don't hate her either. I would really LOVE to get her latest album and listen to it before I give my opinion as to whether I hate her or not. You can't give an opinion about an artist without listening to their music first. That's my opinion.

1, all her fans have ALWAYS crap on about how great she is and there is no other singer in the world that could be better than her and how she has like a million octaves in this magical "whistle" voice that irritates dogs..

 

2, is the fact that she sings trashy rnb songs with no substance that apeal to me in no way at all.

If the most Celine fans say "how great she is and there is no other singer in the world that could be better than her", why can't Maria's or Whitney's fans say the same? And if u don't like Carey's songs, it doesn't mean, that they are "trashy"

There was only 1 album of mariah that wasn't bad, I think it was hero or something? she was better in her old days but one thing that really annoys me bout her today is that she is ALWAYS in competition with other singers!!! she always HAS to be better... why can't she just be original and stop trying to compete?... it's not a race it's a career... sometimes I think she doesn't understand that

I like her music, and she used to be my favorite singer before Céline. The only reason I don't like her as much now is the "diva" behavior I hear sometimes about her. I prefer people to be nice. Of course, I'm sure Céline has her moments, but I don't hear about them. So I can go on living in ignorance. It's bliss you know.

First of all i don't HATE Mariah, i just don't like her! Okay first of all i better say THE FOLLOWING IS MY OPINION!

 

The reason being is simply i don't like Mariah's "normal" singing voice, (this is going to be hard to explain but i'll try) for me Mariah's voice is a bit "thin" whereas Celine's voice is a bit "thicker" and gives off more. Also I don't think that Mariah is much of a power singer. Yes she can do high-pitch notes but that doesn't mean that she feels the song (yes i know that she writes them but as a singer i don't think she can effectively show off the emotion that she feels from singing). To me those high pitch notes does not mean emotion - it's a signature tag - perhaps if she did it in just ONE song in her entire career then i might be a bit amazed but we all know that she can do it over and over again whether it's an uptempo or a ballad.

 

For me Celine's power shows that she feels what she is singing and i get lost in that power, whereas when i hear a high-pitch note from Mariah all i think now (because of the repeated amount of times) is her signature mark on the song.

 

If Mariah had never used high-pitch notes on her songs then she would just be another singer!

 

Oh ALSO as for her personality, she does come off a bit rude and bullyish some times which really puts me off from liking her!
