Céline sounded good, but of course the "Ceasar's bass" took her down too much. I wished the choir guy barney would keep off performance, but no, however, he came in softer this time, and didn't steal so much attention, but still, I don't think they blend nice at all. I love the "cut part" in which she yells YAAAAA! and do the gestures with her hands and the rest of the guys gets on stage, but much more effectful last time... however, the best performance of this song is still the one on Leno, perhaps of the sound, but actually Leno's sound doesn't do justice at all to her either, but she looke teriffic in that velvet dress with sparkles on . This track couldn't suit a better situation. Infact, those of you who remembered me saying when Miracle came out that this track should be used for charity purpose and in live telethons, well see my permenition now, too bad the catastrophy had to be so extremely massive. However: They MUST release this track NOW, make all the profits go to the ones in need in Asia, and pretty soon ISSW will be bigger than MHWGO... gee where are the logical guys at SONY - I should sit there!!! /fred Quote Peace and love to all.

They merged the images from CNN with the ones from CBC. It's like they chose the best angles for a DVD or a video, or something like this. I noticed the sleeve, first opened and then closed. Like with the Live a Paris-video, it is SO obvious there! When she sings 'Les derniers seront premiers' with Jean-Jacques and the 'laladididada'-part comes (I think you all know what I mean), they are sitting on the stairs. othersidetemp Posted January 16, 2005 at 04:30 AM Posted January 16, 2005 at 04:30 AM (edited) For someone who is usually an astute observer, I'm surprised I didn't pick any of this up the gazillion times I've watched the performance since downloading it I was going to say that the camera angles probably look similar because they use the same cameras for every televised performance. I don't think they ever leave the colloseum, and maybe the same guy who was in charge of footage the other night was in charge of recording footage for the other performance. But now that I notice the whole sleeve thing on the choir guy's shirt, I have to let that explanation go. Hey, whatever works. It was a badass performance nonetheless. Regardless of what footage was spliced, the vocals were definitely live and it sounded so incredible. All the times I've heard this song sung live (on Leno, CNN, and now the CBC telethon) I love it more and more than the studio version. Celine seems to add a lot more power to it live, and I LOVE the part after she goes "all the love that you give will go on and on and on" and she blows the roof off the place with her little scream.
