celinedionsfan Posted May 27, 2006 at 12:06 AM Posted May 27, 2006 at 12:06 AM Hi Nice song , the words of a song sometimes say how you feel and sometimes help. Iam not sure, but didn't the group S-club 7 try and sing a dream come true at one time before they broke up.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes S-Club 7 did the song ... and it's one of the songs I am listening to ... that was also one of the songs I'd listen to whenever Karen and I had argued and weren't talking.I'm not sure that any one song expresses my feelings or emotions better than another right now ... but I do know that Celine's songs are constant reminders of what I lost, especially If That's What It Takes, I Know What Love Is and All Because of You ... and yes, I listen to them ... celinedionsfan Posted May 27, 2006 at 12:24 AM Posted May 27, 2006 at 12:24 AM (edited) i like the words to that song<{POST_SNAPBACK}> You have been married five years ... I was with Karen four years five months and ten days from the day she moved in with me until the day she died ... I really hope that it is a very long time before you ever find out what it's like to lose the love of your life ... and perhaps you may never find out ... because nothing can prepare you for what such a loss feels like ... nothing can prepare you for the pain, the sadness, the loneliness ... we all experience loss in our lives ... and we all grieve ... but no one's experiences and feelings are ever exactly the same ... and a loss through death is like no other loss ... as VanMerlin so eloquently posted much earlier in this topic ... death is final ... celinedionsfan Posted May 29, 2006 at 12:17 AM Posted May 29, 2006 at 12:17 AM I have been reminded by a very special friend that pain is still pain... that loneliness is still loneliness ... that sadness is still sadness ... and that emptiness is still emptiness ... regardless of what has caused those feelings ... and it is that which brings us together ... each one of us ... trying in ouir own way ... to deal with what is so overwhelming at times ... each one of us ... struggling at times ... just to get through one breath at a time ... VanMerlin Posted June 2, 2006 at 01:24 AM Posted June 2, 2006 at 01:24 AM There are days when one doesn't know what it real and what isn't...the misery is so numbing that a state of unconsciousness is all that we walk through, wondering when it was that we woke up, and if we really woke up after all. VanMerlin Posted June 2, 2006 at 01:57 AM Posted June 2, 2006 at 01:57 AM It's an important time to go through...mourning and grief...turning around and seeing an item, smelling a scent, noticing how the light comes in the window and how similar it is to one afternoon you remember so clearly being with her, and feeling loss. I've heard that it is the heart's way of healing itself...of knowing that something is gone but being softened by the sense that it is still there in some way. But the mind knows better, doesn't it? It knows the reality of endings and understands that when you wake up one morning, everything that was changed is still the same and she won't walk through the door like your heart believes. I suppose it's the time when the mind and heart battle it out, and yet neither is stronger than the other in this time, is it? Quote
