Time does heal, but how long is time i ask myself, you have to take one day at a time. You will have your good days,and bad days dont fill your on your own we here for you. We can all listern,and try and help if we can, even if only a few words of comfort for you. I still get upset over losing my dad 16yrs ago, it maybe a song, picture, something i see and think dad loved that etc, how ive grown up,married. My dad always called me Barbie, even though my full name is Barbara, and until this day no-one else ever calls me that, and I ask people to respect my wishes not to called Barbie. That was special name for me and my dad, even my mum does'nt call me by it.

Be strong, take one day as it comes its still early days.

Poems, words can bring a lot of comfort to you, when you go through losing someone. Even when i read in loving memory cards in shops with lovely words, i start to well up and usually end up having to put them down. When ive wiped away a tear i go back and bye it. Iam an old softy at heart really.

There are times, especially as we get older, when we wish we could turn back the hands of time ... when we wish we could change the past ... when that all too familiar saying ... "don't give up" ... "it's not over" ...

I don't, actually. I know people always say it, but I don't want to. If given the choice, I'd decline. I have no regrets. What I have done and lived in my life is what has put me here, and nothing can change it, and I feel priveleged to have lived it...even through the misery and the torment. I only care about tomorrow. I've done the best I could through my life, and now I have to continue to do the best I can with what I have now. I care only about what I can do with the NOW, not the THEN. The NOW, admittedly, is not a place I want to be, but that makes me only care about how to get out, not how to look back and be angry with the choices I've made that put me here.

 

I wouldn't change a thing of my past. Even in the most painful times, I don't regret the happenings of my life. I just want to move forward, and not being able to do that is more painful than looking backward. But hey, such is growth.

There was a time when I felt the same way as you do now ... no regrets ... that everything I had done was a learning experience ... but now there is so much I do regret ... so much about the last four and a half years especially that I want so much to change, but can't ... so much I would have done so differently ... I do hope that you never feel this way ...
