Ideas For "A New Day..."

One of the best thing she could possibly do to the show would be to introduce her band properley. Pointing to them and saying what the instrument is should not be how it's done. For instance, she might say "over here we have percussion and over there we have some beautiful voices". What's that all about?    It takes no time at all to say her band members names so I don't get why she has to say things like that. She's worked with them for years and years and they deserve a bit more respect. During the LTAL tour it was incorperated into LCMM and it took about 30-40 seconds so it's not like there isn't time. I think Franco should have scheduled these few seconds to the band and I think Celine and Rene should have pushed for this to happen. It sounds trivial but I find it totally disrespecful not to even say your musicians names when they're with you every night and I think it's nice for the audience to know who's playing for you without having to consult the program each time.

I AGREE!!!!! I thought the same thing when I heard it mention them in that way. I was thinking, "What the f**k?!" I loved how she did it during the Falling Into You tour with "Le ballet." ::sigh:: Those were the days.

Well, with all the talk going on about the possible upcoming changes to "A New Day..." I decided to draw a sketch of my idea for "Then You Look At Me." I know it will never go anywhere, but I do love to create things.

I wanted to use a lighthouse because they help ships find their way when coming into port. Well, I figured it could be symbolic during the number.

I have no idea. I thought with Celine saying "numberS" that there was going to be more than one addition. Hmmmm....maybe once the new French album comes out the leading single will be added? Also, maybe one of the songs from the upcoming new English album will be added to help promote it. It's a long shot, but I guess anything is possible.

I could just imagine maybe during the bridge where Celine screams, the clouds could be moving swiftly and the sun would start setting (This would be a great transition to the "night" which is conveyed in "My Heart Will Go On").

It's coming upon nearly a year since A New Day... concluded. Throughout this time I've had time to reflect on my experiences, the people I had a chance to meet in Las Vegas, and the creativity that Céline and Franco inspired within myself. I had a chance to create a few more concepts (with the help of my friend/Webmistress/graphics artist, Clari) for some of Céline's songs and how I would have liked to have seen them performed in Las Vegas. I consider this not an ending, but a fade from one chapter in my life to the next. I hope you all enjoy these, for now, last concepts of both mine and Clari's.

Wait? Las Vegas is over? I had no idea!

 

As for the "Fade Away" concept...the song is so electrifying and turbulent that I wanted to convey that sort of message. Something that showed that even during all the turmoil and chaos that in the end things will be okay.
