1Celine12 Posted March 2, 2006 at 07:04 PM Posted March 2, 2006 at 07:04 PM I LOVE the french version because it let's me practice my french singing better. It also makes me feel part of the song while singing and listening to it. What are your thoughts on this song and which version do you perfer? Quote
LaFeeRailleuse Posted March 2, 2006 at 07:06 PM Posted March 2, 2006 at 07:06 PM I love both... But I think I prefer the 1F4T version Quote
nati Posted March 2, 2006 at 08:37 PM Posted March 2, 2006 at 08:37 PM I think the french version has a better ending. Quote Thanks Celine for the great memories. I will never forget you
Un Rêve Posted March 2, 2006 at 08:48 PM Posted March 2, 2006 at 08:48 PM (edited) The French version, hands down. When she sings "je t'aime encore" in the English song, it sounds different, as if the transition from English to French like that is a bit hard. I also like the French text more. And because you can hear JJG whisper during the French one! lol! Edited March 2, 2006 at 08:50 PM by Un Rêve Quote
ByuSmurf Posted March 2, 2006 at 09:00 PM Posted March 2, 2006 at 09:00 PM I say the French version - because I was in LV when she had that song in the program! LOVE IT and JJ!! Quote http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y157/byusmurf/siggy12-25-05.jpg

1Celine12 Posted March 3, 2006 at 01:03 AM Author Posted March 3, 2006 at 01:03 AM Both versions are the same as to the same beat. I really am getting used to singing the french version. It's not that I don't like the english version, but I find the french version to be more exotic. Quote

Clari Posted March 3, 2006 at 03:41 AM Posted March 3, 2006 at 03:41 AM I like both, but the French one IS THE BEST! winforlife Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:30 AM Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:30 AM I prefer the french version, but I like the english translation Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v119/LKlafter1/1367035680_small.jpg
Célinefull Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:34 AM Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:34 AM Weird..I was singing this song, and then suddenly there was a thread. It's not my favorite song form 1 fille but it's a beautiful and heart felt song. Quote http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/7108/ziegfieldgirlbanner.jpg
Lawna Posted March 3, 2006 at 05:49 AM Posted March 3, 2006 at 05:49 AM i like the french one, because i find it to be easy for me to sing! lol...I love the english version also, but the french one is beautiful and the lyrics were easier for me to learn than other french songs. Justmeyaya Posted March 3, 2006 at 12:53 PM Posted March 3, 2006 at 12:53 PM I prefer the French version because to me she appropriates more this song when she sings it in French rather than in English. It sounds deeper and more emotional hence Céline often saying that the most beautiful language to sing about love is the French one. The French version, hands down. When she sings "je t'aime encore" in the English song, it sounds different, as if the transition from English to French like that is a bit hard. I also like the French text more. And because you can hear JJG whisper during the French one! lol!<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I heard this but I never found the moment when we can hear JJ Goldman. Can you tell me please? Quote
RRphantom Posted March 3, 2006 at 02:06 PM Posted March 3, 2006 at 02:06 PM Celine's voice is better in Je'Taime Encore-OH version Quote
alex_fan2valdeniz Posted March 3, 2006 at 03:16 PM Posted March 3, 2006 at 03:16 PM I prefer the french version ^^ Quote
rosebud Posted March 3, 2006 at 06:35 PM Posted March 3, 2006 at 06:35 PM i would say the english version(only because i can't speak french)but i listen to the french version more it just has a better fell to it Quote
1Celine12 Posted March 5, 2006 at 05:09 PM Author Posted March 5, 2006 at 05:09 PM Like I have said numerous times, I have learned the lyrics but have to read them because I can't remember where every word goes in the song. That's me in a nutshell about this wonderful song. Quote
gizapup Posted March 6, 2006 at 04:17 PM Posted March 6, 2006 at 04:17 PM French version is definitely better, at least I like it a lot more. But then again I prefer all her French songs to English ones Quote
Etpuisunjour Posted March 7, 2006 at 12:52 AM Posted March 7, 2006 at 12:52 AM I love French, even though I don't really speak it. It's such a pretty sounding language. As silly as it may sound, that's the only reason I took French in high school. And I was thrilled when I discovered that Céline sung in French. That solidified it for me! triniguy Posted March 7, 2006 at 12:57 AM Posted March 7, 2006 at 12:57 AM both is cool..prefer the english but the french sounds more powerful Quote http://surfaced.org/wp-content/gallery/cd_sig/10.jpg
1Celine12 Posted March 7, 2006 at 01:01 AM Author Posted March 7, 2006 at 01:01 AM I am taking french lessons right now by e-mail. I just had my 7th lesson. I am almost ready to start talking in simple french phrases and will work up to the harder ones as my french gets better as time goes on. Quote
LVCeline Posted March 7, 2006 at 01:06 AM Posted March 7, 2006 at 01:06 AM This is one of my favorite songs from her. I think she sounds just a tad better singing this song in french, since it is her natural language. She just sounds so smooth. Her tone is amazingly warm. You can tell she was in great vocal shape when she recorded it. Her voice in this song is what I was hoping for on the Miracle album. She sounded very rested, and her tone was beautiful and smooth. Miracle has that nasally/throaty, odd sound for most of the songs. Quote
1Celine12 Posted March 7, 2006 at 02:24 AM Author Posted March 7, 2006 at 02:24 AM I think for some reason she could have made this song into a lullaby and sang it really slow like she did for TFTEISYF. Don't ask me why I thought of this, it's weird. Quote
