There are about ten people and more planning to come. It's a tough situation here for me because on the one hand EVERYONE deserves a party on/near their birthday, but on the other side, it's going to take me a week to know where everything was moved to. Blind people learn/navigate/orient to our houses/familiar surroundings very specifically. Something gets moved and we're not happy campers. A lot of things have indeed been moved and I know she won't want to clean up tonight when everyone goes home, or tomorrow either. So I'm going to be confused in my own house. A few minutes ago she was like, come up whenever you feel like it. Well, I don't. I don't know these people, and yes I do make friends fairly easily. but people like to congregate right in front of the stairs and right by the bathroom and entrance to the kitchen. I can't get around by myself like I usually do. People want to "help" me, and they mean well, but if they really wanna help me, honk honk beep beep get the f.... out of my way when you see me coming because at least you have eyes. I had that problem while shopping through the outdoor mall near me today. People have the sight I'd KILL for, they just do not USE IT. So I made an appearance upstairs and just said hi to everyone. I told them that if we have a jam session, as I play piano, I'll come back up again. So I feel like I did my good-girl deed for the night and now I'm down here in my room where I know where things are. Being Blind Sucks.
