All that being said, today was hilarious. We went to George Mason University (which is about 25 minutes from American University) and we drove there in three cars. I rode with the director and two other RDs since that car was the more fun group and about 5 minutes out we another car realized we left one of the RDs at campus. So they went back to get him and the other two cars continued. On the highway (during AM rush hour) one of the cars got in a fender bender and had to stop to talk to the people that hit them. The second car (mine) got to GMU and we waited. What we didn't know is that the third car broke down because apparently the alternator and battery died on the highway. When they called AAA to come help, the AAA truck got a flat tire on the way so they had to dispatch another one. In the meantime, we sent another car back to get the stranded group (since the car was towed) but they couldn't find them on the highway....while the other five of us just chatted and laughed for the two hours it took them to get back with the stranded group. .........so instead of our 10am starting time everyone arrived around 12:45 (45 minutes late for our lunch with the GMU housing staff) and we started our day with the ONE activity planned for the afternoon and left by 4pm. TA-DA! RETREAT!

No we go to other schools and use their conference space to do our work. They're really useful in getting away from work (since we all live where we work) and they are a good way to loosen up the group. In the summer we do ropes course team building stuff...but definitely not a campfire situation...that would not be my cup of tea.

I do it without knowing I do, because I'm primarily auditory. I haven't been to as many concerts as some die-hards here, but I know what you mean. Although if she's as disappointing to some as they say she is, I wonder why they continue to support her and call themselves die-hards. I'm just glad they do! I Love Celine...
