That's just crazy with that DOJ did with the wordings for the allegations against MegaUpload. Stating that MPAA and RIAA's profits are being hampered cos it is total bull. This seems to be a backlash to all the protests against SOPA. I hope there is public retribution against this action. Ridiculous!

There were protesters in I think NY that shut down one of the streets there because there were so many of them.

Megaupload was just shutdown and they arrested like 7 people in New Zeland for piracy on the site.

Probably shut them down too. This is sad considering SOPA/PIPA haven't even passed. Those laws don't even give the site a chance to take down copyrighted material either. They can just shut you down without warning and haul you into court and sue you.

 

Man, the bill have not even passed yet and yet they still think they have the power to do this?

the world's most popular file-sharing websites, MegaUpload.com, and

announced the arrest of four of the people behind it in a global

crackdown against the suspected online pirates.

 

 

Please click here to tell your lawmakers to cut it out: No SOPA, no PIPA, no more website seizures.

I talked to her again after class, explained my situation (she's pretty much in the same position as I am, I knew that she'd understand), told her that I don't really have family (for the same reasons as her) and I think that she still doesn't understand why her but at least, she understands something more... She wants to read it though... stress x 100000000000. Yeah. At least it went well and things are ok now.

Lots of math homework that I don't understand... I hope that he won't be too mean tomorrow... I will go to math at lunch though... I'm so tired!

It probably wasn't going to anyway because of all the uproar. The final vote on it has been delayed again, they are meeting on on Tuesday but the man who drafted SOPA Lamar, from Texas has again pushed back the vote date on it till February. President Obama has said he will veto it if it does pass, the White House will not support this because they think there are better ways to deal with piracy and the bill is so broad its dangerous. Thanks for your good wishes everyone!! The flight wasn't a big deal. I can't believe I was so nervous for 5 months for nothing! I'm at my hotel and doing fine...a little jet-lagged, but fine. I'm going exploring today, and tomorrow the Célinefest begins!!!
