Edit: Davey I got the new Take That CD and I agree with you it is more Robbie Williams. But it is a nice album. Just a bit expensive for the amount of songs on it. :blink:

FINALLY! Some peace and quiet in my house. :bounce: Two of the four of my nephews left that were here and I'm sending the other two home very shortly. They've been here for days, they live next door it's time for them to go home. I am so tired, I really could use a nap later today :yawn:

I like Thai restaurant. Tom Yam Kung, Fried Crab Curry, Thai Roasted Chicken are my favorite dishes.

What does ''Enter the full path of your directory, where the executables (latex, tex, etc.) of your TeX-distribution are located'' mean? Everytime I install LaTeX on my computer it asks me that and I never know what it means. My supervisor usually fixes it. I have no clue what I have to put in there. :confused: Do any of you guys know? Edited by Claudette

Would a macbook pro be better than an imac? My main PC (a HP pavillion) is 5 years old now and seems to be on its last legs. I am sorely tempted to move over to Apple for the first time ever. But I'm nervous about making the switch.

The good thing about a Mac is that one can always dual boot Windows in it, while vice versa is kinda hard to do, although not impossible. I don't think you'll have any trouble figuring it out, John :thumbsup2:

I didn't like Apple at all untill I got tired of all the problems I had with my several pc's (have 2 desktops and 3 laptops at home and another one at my work). With every single one there were problems... Especially when Wintendo Vista was delivered, man except for the famous Wintendo Me it was the worst Wintendo they ever made... I had to downgrade each one back to XP to be sure they wouldn't crash any day (I admit, except for my laptops all my pc's are build with high end parts but they aren't from a brand like HP, Dell, etc... (except the one in my office which is a Dell due our contract with them)... Drivers that weren't working properly, conflicts with other hardware or just the famous blue screens of death while doing basicly nothing... The only one that is running quite ok is the one at my office after it was downgraded again to XP and after several days! of tweaking...

 

So I finally bought a Mac... An iMac 27 inch with an i7 processor, 2Tb HDD and much more... It did costs me compared to a PC a huge amount of money but it's worth it every little cent... The Mac doesn't crash when it feels like, it's fast, I find every software that I need (which I was affraid of)... Basicly it's the best thing that I ever did... It's an amazing piece of technology that works like it should work...

 

Today I finally received my MacBook Pro to replace my main laptop (which is less then a year old) and after only a couple of hours working with it I'm allready asking myself why I didn't switched earlier...

 

The next step is to convince our IT department at work to support Apple in our network... In theorie it shouldn't be a problem (everything is compatible) but I guess it will take some time if they ever agree to it :)

 

 

Switching from PC to Mac is quite easy... OK I admit it took me nearly a day to find out the Mac shortkeys instead of the PC ones but they are quite similar so it shouldn't be a problem... If you want to switch I can only recommend it...

 

The only thing from Apple I will never order is the iPhone... The iPhone isn't worth half the money they are selling it for... But an iMac? An MacBook Pro or even they way overpriced iPad? Bring it on... :)

Anyone know what it means when you try to sync an Ipod touch and you get the error 13019? I can't sync my ipod.

Well I restored my ipod to factory settings and now its restoring it to my last back up from a little while ago. If this doesn't work I'm going to have to back all my itunes music up and delete and reinstall itunes. I don't know what else do if it won't let me sync after this restore and back up.
