I didn't like my name Ester when it's pronounced in danish (Estaaahhh) ewww but it's ok english and icelandic

I'm pretty happy with the names I've got. When my mom was little she wanted a daughter named Annie (Horth, oh wouldn't that be lovely haha) and when she was pregnant with me I was supposed to be an "Elenor" but nope, when I came I was an obvious "Frida" :P

If I ever have a daughter I think I want her to have my grandmother's name as a middle name, Maria. Not so sure on the first name. I've always liked Madeleine (can't really explain how it's pronounced here), Alice is nice too. Not at all sure on male names...

OMFG I totally heard that in my head :mdr:

:giggle: Yeah I bet you did, it's terrible!! terrible!

I can't name my child Emily, Erin, Annie, Amanda, Davey, Frida... I have to follow specific Icelandic grammar rule ugh!

Frida would become Fríða (pronounced Freetha) Emily would become Emilia..

There are so many "foreign" names I like, Michelle, Madeleine (the swedish version), Erin, Stephanie, April (english pronounciation), Celine :giggle: but can't name my child any of the names

^ LOL at Freetha, now that's something! Cool spelling though

hehe, I would have to be careful not to call you that if we ever meet :giggle: I know soooo many called the Icelandic version of Frida (Fríða) so this would confuse me big time to call you FriDa hehe.. I would probably have to think about Abba the entire time :P

^ Haha and HER real name is Anni-Frid :P

But that's alright you can call me Freetha. I've heard Freda, Frieda, Friday (not kidding) Farida (a forum member preferred that LMAO. He tried to convince me to move to his country and marry him BTW haha), Freetha is just fine :P

 oh :giggle: I always thought it was Frida

Farida haha, at least you got proposed to hehe.

I'll see if I can find a name I can call you if I don't remember how to say Frida hehe

:sofunny: yeah I am so surprised how some celebrities name their kids.

We are VERY strict about grammar rules. That's why our language has barely changed in centuries (well it has.. but not that much)

I would like to have a little more freedom in naming my kids.. I don't have any but in the future

Most call her Frida anyway :P

And haha, that's always something I guess... I prefer the drunk danish guy though, he was a bit more sad when he was rejected (outdoor restaurant, he wobbled towards out table, clipped off a flower from the potted plant in front of us, handed it to me and asked my dad if he could marry me. The then 14 year old Frida was awfully embarrassed but it's funny as hell now LOL). This other guy couldn't really understand why I didn't like his 1950's rules and got quite angry when I declined the offer(s).. Ah well, my dad wouldn't know what to do with the camels anyway...

Whats everyone's favorite name? Like either a name you just like really well or something you'd name your kid or even change your name too? I'm just curious. Personally I wish my parents had changed my middle name to Maryland like it was supposed to be. I don't hate my middle name Noel but I like Maryland too. Its pronounced like Marilyn.

Charlie is the name

My names are Charlie Robert Francis. I like all the names, but Charlie is the name I like the most

I love the name Emily

I love the name Emily too!! A Finnish version of it would be Emilia,

Or Emilie? If you have that name there :P

I think Emilie is more like the French version of this name. :P It's as beautiful as Emilia though, and I'm sure that version could be given to a Finnish baby just as well!

My car is in the shop today. It is -1F and my heater is not blowing anything. Was very hard to drive this morning. I hope the repairs are less than $200, otherwise it won't be worth it to add more money into this money pit.

Just lost 26 points because I didn't turn in a math assignment on time. This is what happens when I procrastinate to long. I know better than to wait sooo long to turn in something. Great as if I don't suck enough at math like I need more points off my grade. :ermm:

Was watching Figure Skating yesterday, all I can is that Joanne Rochette was amazing last night. I don't think I could Skate, after loosing my mom like that.  That Short Program was amazing, if you didn't shed a tear watching it well. Also The Audence was amazing as well, after she was done Standing Ovation by the crowd and all over Canada.
